Don't be silly, not being able to keep the daft grin off your face is a GREAT feeling, you enjoy it!! xx

hmm, should get moving and do something, alternatively I could stay on here - or even slope off to my bedroom with a cup of tea and Prima - decisions decisions!:D

eta have decided to have a long soak in the bath and do all the time consuming pampering things so I only have to have a quick shower before the party tomorrow. So another day of no demessying, but at least I used up all my nemesis veg for tea :)

  • Wow, MessyMare, congratulations! Why is it ladies are only 'allowed' one day in four years to propose, though?

To those struggling, lots of hugs.
I've managed to keep the house tidyish (allowing for son's clutter) this week. My daughter and my lovely cleaner both did such a good job it seems an insult to mess up after them. Not every week is like this though.
Hart, I'm pleased to hear you are valued too!

Congratulations, MM! :j What cracking news for a cold winter's day. :T

<Hugs> to all whose messy houses are getting them down, and to those who are feeling poorly.

Emms, sounds pretty horrendous in your house. Just how much did your DS have in his room?

I just asked B to marry me...and he said yes :) I was going to wait until the 29th but I couldn't wait any longer :)

Huge congrats mm that is lovely news...you keep smiling away!!

I have had the laziest day ever....back did improve enough with pain killers so by about 9ish this am i could walk and go downstairs! i have stayed in my bed tho virtually all day snoozing on and off and do feel a lot better for it. dont know if anyone knows but is it normal to be so shattered after surgery?

Anyway hugs to all those who need them and thanx for putting up with my moaning earlier and guess what, my house is still messy!!

    xx

Jacci, yes it is normal to be so tired after surgery, for a little while at least. Your body has still had trauma in your going under the knife and whatever the surgery entailed as well. If you are in pain, sleeping is a good way of escaping the pain. Your body can focus on repairing itself after the surgery and not waste energy on being active when it's not a good idea.

Slept from 8pm til 4am - woke shivering with head swimming again. Had some paracetamol half an hour ago and feel much better again now. Thank goodness for my store cupboard - all I can manage just now is tonic water and rich tea biscuits, both of which I now keep a good stock of. Back in the days when I didn't plan/budget my shopping, I wouldn't even have had a tin of beans in. Hopefully I'll be feeling ok later in the morning and will put the slow cooker and breadmaker on.

Any other messies awake out there?
