Afternoon messies.
YL, kids can be so lovely, but also so horrible, can't they? Like a pack of mini woves once they get going.
Emm, as I said before, I greatly admire folk who do the job you do, and how wonderful to be so encouraged by the progress of one patient!
You're obviously still not sleeping well, Cat. Sounds as if your mind is working overtime and more.Good news about your friend's F iL.
Hart, it's lovely to hear that you're getting a life again. I've never been in that sort of situation, but my DD2 was, for quite a while. Did her head no good at all.
Since Sunday evening, have done the ironing (while watching Call the Midwife), done two WM loads, dusted the lounge (we have dark wood that just 'invites' dust to visit!), removed cobwebs from all the rooms (one of the few disadvantages of living in the countryside - SO many spiders!), and made two greetings cards, with another try out of an idea. Must go and clean the kitchen worktops - again.0 -
(((YL))))-it's not surprising you feel poorly. I know it's easy to say, but try to enjoy having DH take some of the strain xx
Lol-I don't know about motivation, Emmm....the bread/jam maker has needed to go away since about OctoberReally, my motivation was needing to find a lid...:p
I think I can compete with a stuffed caravan, though. I have a double garage so cluttered I have to plan a route from a specific door whenever I want anything
As for this evening: downstairs is full of young people shouting happily over a maxed-up iPod, and I'm lying on my bed with my netbook pretending I don't exist. Tough job, but somebody has to do itimport this0 -
Seems like a really good idea to pretend you don't exist when there are loads of young people/kids about! :rotfl: (Can you tell I don't have grandchildren?)0

Messies - I can feel a tiny bit of motivation fluttering up inside me!!!!:j
Got to go to DS's dad's now to pick up some stuff and I PLAN to get rid of some rubbish when I get back....we'll see!:p
ps hugs to you too Jacci, you put your feet up and enjoy your new heat padxx

Evening messies, that heat pad sounds good Jacci! I use a hot water bottle for my back at strategic times of the month, bliss!
Good for you Cat, hope you have a good flymessy session!
bearcub, spiders are our friends! Well that's what I tell myself anyway - and of course, they count as indoor wildlife. However I draw the line at large hairy ones getting too close for comfort!
I must be slightly manic today, I seem to be using a lot of exclaimation marks - ah well half term is coming ever closer and I just can't wait. I may be tempted to hibernate but of course am making all the obligatory "half term project" plans...I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Good for you Cat, hope you have a good flymessy session!
Now now jps, let's not get carried away here:rotfl:
In fact I seem to have used up all my motivation and energy in 2 hours of sorting stuff out at DS's dad's, oh well never mind, perhaps I'll feel more flutterings tomorrowI'm just glad I felt the tiniest urge to tidy, first time in over a month
Spiders aren't my friends.:o I wish they were, but they're not
ETA I'm heading off to bed now but before I get in, I'll put some stuff in the paper recycling bag, CBA but know I will feel good if I do even a tiny bit0 -
Well, at least you know motivation is possible, Cat!
Jacci, I hope your back eases soon. Only ever had back trouble once, and it's so limiting. You don't really need any more limiting, do you?
I don't have a problem with spiders, jps, just their cobwebs indoors, but their presence is a fact of life here with farmland just across the road. In fact, the only creepy crawlies I have problems with are ants - hate them with a passion.
Have just spent 2 hours at a meeting in a church hall, where I shivered through most of it. Made concentrating very difficult. Sleep well, messies.0 -
