Rummer, what are the fees for selling books on Amazon? I have literally have approx 1000 books to sell at some point. I never thought about Amazon, must have a look.

I have sold some to Zapper in the past, not for great money but its easy and no selling fees etc.

The rabbit died and I am devastated. There has then been a seemingly never ending catalogue of disasters since then.

aww no........so sorry to read this Rummer :(
Great photos of rats and doggie

Our Dog has gone to bed and he's in a right state over the Hamster - he's so upset he piddled all over the kitchen floor [never done that before]and sat there shaking!! This could be the mistake of the Century - mixing Dog and Hamster! Hamster is now in son's bedroom but I foresee probs there cos of the noise through the night, my Mum may have to have the Hammy over at hers, DS will be most peed off at that and have the hump with the Dog - kids, dogs and Hammys don't mix

    Helen x

Our hamster is in the bedroom and he never wakes my son up. Now either my 8 yr old is a very heavy sleeper, or Freddie makes less noise than the average hamster? I'm guessing the former as he does love running round in his wheel at 2am.

The rabbit (in the bathroom) makes more noise though - he hits the water bottle to make the water come out faster....and also makes a right racket when he sets off on one of his digging moods!

Personally I think OH (my other half) makes more annoying sounds than the hamster - his snoring drives me mad sometimes!!

Oh not too sure now it has been a while. Depends on what you are trying to sell too as to where you should sell them. If they are popular novels a car boot would be better. However non foction often sells for good prices :D

    Never heard of zapper?

    Good Morning!

I am up and organised today :D

The washing machine is going and I am going to get busy baking up a storm in the kitchen before heading out to get a bit of the garden sorted. Still have a mountain of laundry to do in prep for going back to work on Monday and I have all my DDs stuff to get ready for her return to school.

Need to try and find the balance today. I want to get a lot done without feeling that I have been working all day ;)

Sorry about your bunny Rummer. :(
I need to get going this morning but can't seem to drag myself away from my cup of tea. Rather shamefully haven't cleared up from last night's chutney activities so have all that to do, plus must make sausage rolls and chocolate unbaked cakes for the business, get the children to do their homework, a bit of food shopping, and declutter and generally clear up! Half a cup of tea left and I'm up.

Sorry about the hamster/dog issue. I agree that maybe showing the hammy to the dog (in its cage or in something where the dog can't get him!) might help. I have always done that with my cats when introducing a newbie little 'un. However, dogs are different and instinct can kick in, so don't know if it works the same with them.
I'm sure things will settle over time. I assume you're making sure that the dog is getting lots of attention? I know from a cat who has wetting tantrums that they are hard to control - you don't always see them coming!!!
Hugs. And don't despair just yet!

I can sympathise with hamster vs dog...Roger is petrified of Crumble and was initially quite distressed with her presence. So now when she comes out he gets the treat of going to lay on our bed :) Which reminds me, I really should clean Crumble out. I'm still sitting here in my fluffy dressing gown at the moment, but in a relaxed way, rather than last Sunday's despondent way. Hurrah :)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time
  • Relaxed is good, Messy! Enjoy the fluffy gown!
  • Morning all. Plan to today is to get the plate rack and at least 1 shelf up, and some more of the spice rack shelves up now we have the brackets etc. Also helped finding the charger for the drill batteries last weekend it had been MIC (missing in clutter) for about 5 weeks which delayed things.

Also going to have a bonfire if it doesn't rain to burn the brambles I've cut down.

Best of luck to everyone in your endeavours today!
