  • evening everyone

well..... what a waste of a day .... ive done nothing ... except put some dirty clothes in kitchen and put a frozen pizza in oven
ive just felt so so run down :(
ds has done a few crafts, a little bit of colouring and he has painted a money box (one of his xmas presses) we just mainly snuggled and watched films all day :/

the place is starting to become messy, still a mess in hallway and still random bits of clutter in livingroom ... the kitchen is starting to become messy again , as ive just moved things from livingroom into the kitchen

    urgh :( i just cant :(:(:(:(

suprising how many of you have taken down your decorations already :) i dont take mine down until the first week of january :/

cant feel a very productive evening being had tonight ... extreme couponing (programme) is on until 11 tonight, so im just gonna watch that and look online for some coupon/freebies for myself :)

new years resolution 1: sort house out
new years resolution 2: buy a printer to get coupons (so many coupons are print only :( )

  • Evening all

You sound like you need some down time Kitty. Sometimes putting your feet up for a bit is far more important than the housework.

Our decs will stay up a bit longer, especially as we were quite late putting them up.

Its blowing a gale outside and tomorrow is bin day. I was planning on putting some extra rubbish out but its so windy that I will have to wake up early and put it out before the bin men come at half seven. Havent seen half seven for a few days so I might need to set the alarm!

I have tried to tidy up a bit today but not sure that the house really looks any better. Will have to get the rest of the Christmas presents re-homed and get the hoover out tomorrow. Will have to do some ironing too.

I also need to sort out the fridge, I dont really know whats lurking at the back and thats not like me at all!

Messymare what a great present, I would have loved that book.

That is NOT a waste of a day!!!:):)

Have started dekippling pc desk, filed a few things:j Not sure what to do with bank statements - I know they say keep them for a couple of years, but I do my banking online and have just gone paperless for statements. I can look up transactions from more than two years ago online and print them out if need be, so I think I'll just shred the lot. That'll be a serious amount of kipple removed:j Now I need a shredder! :)

DDs are home and have both been sitting knitting. Shamefully, I haven't even picked up my crochet hook after 5 minutes of frustration several days ago :D

Kitty-enjoy your time snuggled up with your little one.

Both of mine are taller than me now, and DS's reward for mowing the lawns is to be left alone to play online games with his friends and Skype.

I'm so glad I prioritised cuddles when they were small xx

Kitty - its not a waste of a day, its a day spent recharging those run down batteries and spending time with DS - best time spent!!!

I have taken down some of the annoying decs and made plans in my head for the rest to come down tomorrow and made a note to put them up later next year so I don't get fed up with them, mind you, kiddies don't mind them coming down so maybe I;ll leave it the same for next year

Had a look at a couple of sales in shops today - wasn't that impressed, got a few bits from Boots and will go back when its 75% off

Just tidied up DS's room [needs a hoover but as he's in bed now it'll wait till tomorrow]
DD will have to sleep on her floor tonight as she wet her bed last night and its not dried properly and I'll need to wash it again tomorrow - BTW, she LOVES sleeping on the floor - odd child!!

Cleared a bit of gibble from our room
    Mini clean of the bathroom

Need to clear the Kitchen now as its full of washing up to do, and make some food for me as I'm starving and continually eating Quality Street is not eating proper food lol.

    Have a good evening all

    Love and hugs all round

I'm not quite sure how I managed to post the same post twice! Sorry about that. Kitty, a day spent snuggling and watching films is most definitely a day WELL SPENT!!

I'm still pottering with the sewing machine - getting all the fabric out has made me realise just how desperately upstairs needs de-messying, there was nowhere to put it all when it was liberated from the loft except in clothes storage bags on top of other clothes storage bags on top of loads and loads of bedlinens and curtains and throws and old duvets that really need to be sorted.

Well, I've bagged up and frozen today's batch cooking of leftovers.

And I've emptied the basket that I was using as a drawer in my old computer desk (after both the drawers collapsed, lol)

And filed the documents I saved from the cull of the boxes I found in the loft last week

And made and strained stock, which is currently cooling.

And pulled the remaining bits off the boiled chicken carcass for a now very smug cat.

And emptied the dishwasher. And washed up. Twice.

Still in a mess, but we'll get there :)

  • Kitty - everyone needs some down time :) And I took the decs down because they made it really hard to get in and out of the lounge (the bruises on my knees from the coffee table the tree is on are a testament to that!) and I was just so so fed up with them. The lounge looks so much bigger now :)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time
  • Morning all you lovely jubblies

Hope you are all feeling ok - Rummer, how are you?

I feel more energetic today so about to make a start on clearing up - watch out kids, you may be boxed and shoved in the garage if you stay still too long hehe

  • Good morning everyone! My task for today is to sort out the computer games & the shelves that they're currently sprawling all over, & give most of them away. I could weep when I think of all the money my 3 boys have spent on these over the years, but they're all outdated & outgrown now, and just taking up space in our living room that could be better used by some of the things that seem to live on the floor because they're actually in constant use & need to be accessible!
