WEll done MM!
Dishes done, kitchen floor hoovered and mopped (!!), surfaces and drainer cleaned:j Now thinking about wrapping presents - only thinking, mind....:p MUST finish Xmas cards tonight. Must must must. Do it Cat. Just do it. Bah, this self-motivaton lark doesn't work!:D
I'm still jealous of the open fires, ash or not:D Roaring radiator really only works in an alliterative sense:(0 -
Thank you Cat
I got half of the room cleared, thrown a tonne of paperwork into the bag for burning, thrown loads of stuff away (found myself looking at a coaster that came free with a family history magazine thinking 'this could come in handy' before thinking 'noooooooo' and binning). Still got the other half of the room to do but it's really getting there
It's so weird, we've just had such a happy day together today. We took a break from the usual Sunday gibble to take Roger for a walk up to the sluice gates and back. Chatted a little, told stories of the week, let the dog off the lead for the first time (my heart was pounding I can tell you!) and that went well. It's been a long time since I felt so in love and at peace
big ole loved up (((((hugs))))) to everyone
Oh oh and the other thing - I found a statement for my car loan and I've made more payments than I thought- I'm a third of the way through! woohoo!

Evening all

I have been a busy wee poppet today :j. Cleaned the bathroom, livingroom and the kitchen as well as half of the bedroom. Also wrapped a heap of presents and got the xmas eve hamper organised. Then persuaded my OH to go and get the xmas food shop done
.
Now I am going to relax, have a read on here and enjoy a slab of cake before a nice hot bath and early night, bliss.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
My OH observed last week that my office was looking a little full so I have had a big declutter in there I now have a tidy office and a big box of paper recycling and I have found stuff I had "lost". I have been a very busy bee today, finished the wrapping, cooked dinner started to get my stuff ready for my Christmas holiday.0

Morning Hart and everyone else
Well done everyone - Cat, you did mega well
Xmas Eve Hamper in our house is when Father Xmas has his elves deliver a little something to all in the house if they have been good, Elf this year is delivering; Kids = Xmas bowl and inside will be some sweets, dvd and something else [not sure yet] and for me and DH will be some sweets and a little drinky!! Lots of people put PJ's in for the kids but I'm not this year as DS doesn't wear anything and DD has just had new ones and funds won't allow a big hamper. Oh nearly forgot. . . . Reindeer food goes in the kids hamper too [small bag each to spread out on the front] Snowman drinks are made aswell - I'll do something like this if I have time on Xmas eve
Anyhoo, ironing is calling

Morning messies! Good to see everyone in good spirits!
I'm ready for Operation Christmas Tidy today... in preparation, I have made more mess than even I could possibly imagine by dragging things out of cupboards to de-kipple (thanks for the new word, I love it!) Still, it has to get worse before it gets better, doesn't it? I now only have a tiny path through the living room between mountains of carp.
I need to put shelves up in the kitchen now too - that's been waiting since the summer when I ripped out the manky old cupboards and whitewashed the walls.
Well sitting here won't get it done, so orf I go... will come back for a coffee and a read in a bit!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Honestly, if you want a job doing, do it yourself - last night DH put the rubbish out, well he put some of it out!! I've just had to put 3 bags and the glass box out in my PJ's and dressing gown!! Not a pretty sight
