unfortunately not snookey, I never seem to get young, handsome repair men!:( Though for his age he's not bad! And he's very nice:)

I can't really be bothered making tea for myself, I might just have a bowl of Mr A's copy of Ready Brek or something.

2 minutes till I promised DS he could get on the computer, so I'd better go!
  • Thank you everyone :) I'm just using up the last of my sachets; but have a craving for a fluffy, buttery baked potato with boiled baked beans...nom nom nom...

Made toad in the hole tonight for OH; not a big deal to most I know but it was my first go :) I was quite proud, it rose well though was quite squidgy in the middle. Not sure how to get around that without burning the edges but hey ho. So, this week I've mastered omelettes and toad in the hole; next week I'm going to do quiche and something I haven't decided on yet!

In other news today I have:

      • Pick up the rest of my birth control
      • Hang up washing
      • Take some more photographs for Ebay
      • Stick to CD for a day
      • Cook B dinner (Toad in the hole, veg, tatties, gravy)
      • Hoover lounge and bathroom
      • Wash up
      • Get rechargeable batteries and charger
      • 30 minutes on Just Dance
      • Clean up dog’s leavings in back garden
      • Edit photographs for Ebay
      • List on Ebay (handbags)
      • Weigh handbags
      • Go through and check categories on Ebay
      • Add new handbag category and update turbolister

Quite pleased with myself :) I split my list up today into 'must do' and 'would be nice if I manage to' ; I've done all of the 'must' list, and only missed about 3 things of the would be nice list. Felt a lot less pressure today, and feel like I've been ten times more productive. Tomorrow is our first late night opening so I'm not going to bother putting any house things on the must list. I know I sound mad but somehow it has worked today! (((hugs))) for everyone!

    • Well done getting through that lot MM.
Cat - my standby CBA supper (if alone & nobody else to feed) is weetabix...but now I really don``t want to speak about food, am stuffed to the very gills with chicken dinner. Normally we wouldn`t be eating till about ten. My shifts end 9pm, OH`s 8pm. On days off we tend to fall into the same routine, but both being off today meant it could all be a bit earlier. OH has gone off already, and I now feel the need to get myself horizontal too. Goodnight Messiesxx

Well done MM that's a lot of stuff to get done:T I'll join you in making a quiche, haven't done that for about 15 years:eek:

I fell asleep for about 2 hours earlier, and I'm still tired so going to bed now, bit annoyed as I was definitely picking up for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it's just a blip:) goodnight all xxx
    • Morning all

Popped on yesterday for a read but felt really glum so didnt want to post and spread my glumness around. Poor Snookey, hope you feel a bit better now. When my Mum rang me at work to say that their dog had been put down I burst into tears - and it wasnt even my dog!

Went to the hospital last week and were told that they are running out of options for treating DS and we may just have to accept that he is not going to get any better. Its so hard to get our heads around that but I am trying to be positive. Went to do a bit of Christmas shopping yesterday and he was worn out after a couple of hours but he did really well and didnt have any major panics considering how busy it was. Like Helen I have done 95% of my Xmas shopping online and after yesterday I am glad its nearly done!

Oh and Cat I know its not really funny but your ongoing saga with the boiler has made me laugh. Its actually been quite cold here last couple of days so I hope it gets sorted soon.

Messymare - thats some work you got through yesterday. My kitchen is a bit of a disaster area at the moment for some reason.

Right, got to run, need to shift DS out of bed if I can, need to make sure DS1 is getting himself sorted for school and get myself in the shower. Hope everyone has a happy and productive Thursday!

Rummer - Grrr to the bin collection but well done on what you did

Messymare - way to go with your list

i have lots to do today and I'm tired after my shift yesterday - a couple of the lads were playing up, it was funny but stressful

Have a good day everyone and talk later

    • Morning all - I do hope you`re all having similar weather to ours today, it`s bright and sunny so I`ve got up (early for me on a day off) and felt like doing stuff.
      cotton rugs to launderette
woolly rug washed & out on the line
fifteen eggs boiled, shelled and in a jar of pickling vinegar
      bird feeders refilled
      LR floor swept & washed
clean woolly rugs down now on clean floor.

I`m now awarding myself a pat on the head and a coffee & catch up with the `Archers` while I decide what to do next...really enjoying the rare feeling of having a head start though. It`s still only 10 o`clock!

LR `flat surfaces` need decluttering, kitchen floor & mats need doing - but I`m also considering doing a bit of Xmas shopping.

Have a lovely day - whether it`s a good kip or a bit of de-messying. Will report back later.

Really sorry to hear that sad news about your son YL:(:(:( As Helen said, post when you feel like it, and never ever worry about spreading glumness! Sounds like he did really well yesterday, you must be so proud of him:)

I'm glad the boiler saga has made you laugh, despite all my:mad: faces it's not really bothering me that much, in the grand scheme of things it's the sort of thing you just have to laugh about! One of the best laughs I've ever had was when my washing machine stopped working because of a clogged filter, me and DD2 were in absolute hysterics trying unsuccessfully to stop the kitchen flooding!:D

Emm the weather here was nice enough earlier but it has just started raining again, it's looking very black outside! And the forecast doesn't look great either:(

Nothing to report messy-wise, except that I am still feeling totally lethargic and CBA:(

Yorkshire lass there are always new treatments being found and I bet one is just around the corner for your son. Have you tried any therapy such as reflexology. I found it quiet help full even if it was just relaxing.
Please come on the board even if its just to check in as Its good to get the support and at least your not dealing with everything alone. Im sending a massive hug to you and yours Yorkshire lass.
Helen Im okay during the day re; dog but Its when Im in bed and thinking that it hits me, but, Iv got to remember that he had a long life and was spoilt rotten.
Ill check in later with everyone. Take care.

YL, so sorry to hear about your son, Snookey is right about reflexology though, I'm not a huge fan of alternative therapies and don't tend to believe them but my Mum used to work for a school of reflexology and it used to be the only thing that would help with my migraines and IBS; she even had some that helped with her MS. It's worth a try x
