    Hart glad your back.
  • Hi All. Back from lovely Irish holiday, now back at work with heavy catch-up next few days. House a mess? Don`t even ask about that! Garden gone berserk too, but herbs surviving, found time to harvest a lot of apples, donated lots and made a few pies. (So much for `time to chill before work when we get home` - 3 days just went nowhere!) Haven`t had time to read here & catch up with you all, haven`t even properly finished unpacking(!) or catch up with laundry - DS had a backlog, and I used the 2 free dry afternoons to pick apples/scythe through nettles to access apple trees. I`m grabbing this chance to post as I`m on a late shift tomorrow, didn`t want you fellow Messies to think I`ve abandoned you!

    PLAN B - I have a week off next month, had hoped to do Xmas shopping but now hope to blitz house, garden, Xmas shopping, cook great grub, change the world, etc...
    Goodnight & God Bless all, hugs to those who need them, from Emm`s Very Messy House! xxx

    I have done bog all though apart from sort tea and wash up a few bits :o

    Im lucky Helen poo picking is DS's job but I have to keep telling him or he wont do it, good job we have a very long garden and little mutt goes to the bottom :rotfl:

    Today I have -

    -Hoovered through downstairs
    -Emptied DW
    -Made muffins
    -Washing x 2
    -Cleaned/stock-take of kitchen store cupboard
    -Posted a parcel
    -Made pizza dough for dinner

    Need to get off here and do the washing up and probably a million other things but just cannot be bothered. DS (aged 2) is still up every night and will only go back to sleep in our bed. I know that this is just habit for him now but I am just so tired I cannot stay awake all night putting him back in his own bed. He is up by 6am every morning and I am shattered. I know my life is nowhere near as bad a so many other people's so feel silly for saying it really but I'm so tired I cannot think straight.

    I'm going to get myself a coffee and make myself go through the kitchen freezer as I need to do a cheapie meal plan for next week so trying to use what we have in. Need to go through chest freezer too but that can wait for now.

    OK, today I don't feel I have done a lot. Here's the list:

    * stripped and remade both kids beds (will wash bedding tonight)
    * made our beds
    * put away dry washing and hung up wet to dry
    * dashed up to school as realised DS left one of his library books home
    * contacted ebay re problem with my listing, listed item on there
    * listed 3 items on Netmums (2 reserved already - free of charge but will clear the clutter)
    * fetched DS and did lunch
    * urgent typing job
    * sorted out more stuff to clean and list on Netmums
    * made a few phone calls
    * just fetched DD from school and sat down with a cup of tea and 2 jaffa cakes ;)

    Actually doesn't look too bad! Need to get DS to bed early as he's very tired and DD has Cubs tonight so need to sort someone to bring her home - DH is in Italy.

    Tonight I want to:

    * clean potties I found that are redundant and list on Netmums
    * do ironing
    * do knitting :)

    Everyone seems to be having good days; fabulous stuff :T:T!

    Thanks Helen, I have no idea how you get so much done!

    I was just having a funny 5 mins, feeling a bit sorry for myself. I got off my backside, had some diet coke (emergency stash for when I've got the grumps!), now have done inventory of both freezers and am meal planning till end of the month. Want to get within budget for the Grocery challenge this month to save money. Looking at all the stuff we have in has cheered me up as with planning, there's no excuse not to do it!

    Off to make dinner now - HM pizza and wedges. I'm going to eat with them so I can get some studying done this evening. I am going to do 1.5 hrs then treat myself. Might have a bath, watch telly or a glass of vino. Will decide while I'm studying to keep me on track!
  • Have also

    Moved the trampoline [by myself!!]
    Repaired the trampoline [bit of a bodge job but it'll do]
    Cut back some over grown bushes
    Phoned DH
    Making tea

    Mumof2 - DH is back tomorrow and I couldn't do some of the jobs I said I would [carpet laying for example] so I;ve done loads of other jobs - saves him having to do them - he works at a residential home for adults with Learning Disabilities and its very stressful so when I get the chance to do the jobs I take it.

    MummyEm - my kiddies are 11 and nearly 9 so they can amuse themselves whilst I get on with stuff and I make them help if there's a job that they can do - couldn't do this stuff with young ones about!!

    I'm done in now so all jobs may grind to a halt from here on in for today!!
    If you don't here from me tomorrow its cos I'm welcoming Hubby home lol
