  • hi all

havent posted on here for ages. Well i did so well for so long got motivated by you all...and then it all went horribly wrong. My darling (but disabled) husband had some tests which showed his condition was much worse than originally thought, although not life threatening, but still v painful. My dd has been going through a rough time and stopped eating and was very depressed and at 8 thats not great, my nan died and then its been one thing after another. clminating in my house lookin like a bombsite. there is laundry everywhere and the whole place is disgusting. Im so tired all the time as when my dh needs the loo in the night i have to help him up wait for him then get him back into bed...then im awake for ages then i drop off and then he needs the loo...etc......and now im ill. And im v depressed about it....and i wannt to live somewhere tidier...and i dont know what to do. i over whelmed completely. sorry for the rant.

Well I've managed to do very little today. Been in and out of the house ferrying kids about, school meeting.

Just managed to wash DD's bedding as she wet the bed last night. Sorting kids dinner out now. DH is cooking for us later :D

Need to hoover around downstairs this evening as I have someone coming over tomorrow for a coffee. Need to have a think about what else I will get done tonight to make full use of having the evening off from cooking.
  • Hi messies,
Not been on for a while as haven't managed to achieve anything! Big panic over the last few days as plumber due for boiler and DH said he may want access to all radiators, what the *!*! Cue a lot of rushing around. Found kitchen worktop and decluttered madly. Discovered that the 8 or 9 boxes that I keep in the kitchen simply cant be decluttered cos it's all work stuff and papers for the taxman etc. Then I had a brainstorm. I currently have a lovely clear kitchen floor but have a dozen boxes to fetch in from the greenhouse :D Walk in wardrobe is piled higher than I stand tall , DD's room has been cleared and hoovered. Floors swept including stairs, I'm knackered.

And to top it all, he only went into the kitchen :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Oh Princess, poor you. Sounds like having a tidy home is the least of your worries - although too much mess can definitely add to the stress. Is there anyone who could come round and help you out for a few hours to catch up on things? My poorly DS is being very very demanding at the moment, poor kid he just wants his mum - but he doesnt want to let me out of his sight ever. Last night at nearly midnight I had to make him get into his own bed so I could get some sleep or I would have never got through today.

My task for the next few days has to be clearing out the coal shed. We have been putting things in there to go to the tip - bad idea - we should have got rid of the junk straight away. My problem is that the coal shed is also home to lots of big spiders and I am a wimp!!! We need to order some coal though so its got to be done. OH is really busy at work at the moment so I need to do this myself and I am not looking forward to it!
  • Princess - what an awful time you've all had recently, big hugs to you and yours, although the state of the house can be depressing it will eventually get better, just concentrate on yourself and your family for now, tackle a small area at a time for a few mins and then go have a break, little and often and remember we are all here to support you, if you are anywhere near me I'll come over and help you if you want - I'm at Milton Keynes

Princess I am so sorry you are going through all this. As has already been suggested, can someone give you a hand? Just do what you have to do and rest when you can. So sorry to hear about DD too; you have so much on your plate. Keep posting on here and we'll all support you all we can but have some cyber hugs for now ((( Princess ))).

Had a lovely pm with DS, he's been really charming even though DH is away on business in Italy (lucky thing - better get me a good present this time ;)!) After school I took both of them to swimming, they did well and were smiling. Now had quick dinner, up to bed and it's all quiet so I think they've crashed out. I tidied some more rubbish from the kitchen and threw away the equivalent of 2 reams of paper I'd say and crushed 3 cardboard boxes. Still sooooo much to do.

Now on with the typing job .........

(((hugs))) princess, sorry to hear that your OH is not doing too well, try not to over face yourself by taking on too much especially when you have received news like that. Build things up gradually by maybe doing 15mins of tidying a day or if you prefer then tackle one job a day.

Things here are teetering on the edge a bit as I have let the laundry and dishes slide a bit and the thought of catching up is a wee bit overwhelming :(. Plus I am very busy during the day so when I get in at night I really don't want to tidy.

If I don't catch up during the week I am going to make a concerted effort to get back on track at the weekend :D
