Rummer, sorry you're ill - take care of you and don't worry about the mess - it'll soon be back to tidy once you feel better. You know you can do it now!

Hi everyone. Tackle the clutter one room at a time. Thats my motto.

Discovered dd has thread worms yesterday, ugh!. Came down stairs crying that she had seen a worm in her bowel movement. Now beds all need stripping ,soft toys washed and bedrooms deep cleaned. Everyone needs to be treated.
    Rummer hope your better soon.
  • Snookey - my DD had that once - visit to the Docs soon sorted it, hugs for you and yours
Rummer - hope you feel better very soon and don't worry about the mess, it'll soon be sorted once your up and about

We're off to Gr Yarmouth on Friday afternoon, me and the chillies are there from Friday to Sunday and DH is there Friday to Friday [he works in a Residential Home for adults with learning diff's] This is the residents holiday and I'm going to help out for the weekend, kiddies are really looking forward to it so fingers crossed everyone for a nice weekend for us as DD really wants to swim in the sea for the last time this year, she's not affected by the cold like I am!!!

But it does mean lots of washing and drying and then ironing so I don't have to do it Sunday night ready for school Monday

    Helen x

PS Have a nice day everyone

Helen jelly if we don't speak before, have a lovely time!

Rummer hope you feel better again soon. Just rest and take it easy - forget everything else; you need to be sorted. Housework etc can wait.

Tahrey What helps me is to set aside say 15 minutes and just work for 15 minutes on sorting out and once that's over forget it - do it again the next day. Little and often works for me. Hard isn't it though - you have to be ruthless. Sorry I can't be more help to you.

So far been trimming the hedge, playing pirates with DS, sorting out DH's Uncle and decluttering from the attic (with DS - he loved it!) This pm need to take the dog for a walk and have ironing to do. Got 2 typing jobs coming in and want to get them out of the way quickly.

  • Hi everyone. I am supposed to be painting but progress is slow. I think DS has gone to sleep. I should really go and wake him up but I hate waking the kids at any time of day and he will be grumpy so its tempting to just leave him for a bit.

Just a quick cup of tea then I am off!

Rummer - hope you are feeling better. Mumof2, that sounds like a very busy day so far - you have so much fun with your boy, I remember those days well.

And Helen have a great time, I love Norfolk.

Oh and Snookey hope DD is OK, never experienced that one fortunately but it sounds a bit upsetting for her - and more housework for you!

Thanks Helen and yorkshire lass . DD is fine now and has a treatment along with everyone else. House has been scrubbed alongside bedding and cuddly toys. Im sending her in with a nail brush as her class dont have any. At least it was a kick up the bum to do the housework.
    Helen enjoy yourself.

Morning all, sorry I've been MIA quite a lot but have been getting stuff done. Got another busy day today and have managed to sort out lots of recycling ready for Monday, including some clothes which weren't good enough to give to CS but I didn't want to sling so into the recycling they go :).

Got to get serious with selling stuff; I've been threatening to for so long but nothing has happened but it's a free ebay listing weekend so plan to take advantage of that.

Hope all poorlies feeling better and everyone is having the sunshine we have here. Just put washing on the line for the second day running :j - am I sad?!! (don't answer )

I too have been MIA but have been busy slowly chipping away at the mess! Got 3 ebay parcels posted off today, and one more has now paid so that's a bit decluttered. Have also managed an afternoon in the garden today so that's one small patch looking a bit tidier and one green wheelie bin full of garden waste, just about 100 bins worth to go :o

Still feeling like it's two steps forward, three steps back but I'm still plodding along in the hope of some miracle day where I have a tidy, clean house and beautiful garden :rotfl:

Planning on listing some more on ebay this weekend as it's free listing again.
