Trolley - just take it a step at a time - as long as you try doing small bits then they will be fine with that - they get ants in their pants when they think the plot isn't be attended at all. Just start with a corner and work from there - try not to look at the whole of the plot s it becomes too daunting to even try. You're doing really well so stick with it if you can x
Hart - have a lovely holiday
JPS - I lurk on that thread - awesome crafty people on there - I love seeing what people have done
Well its been madness here, DH's car has broke and getting a part for it has taken hours and now he's got it he needs a "special" tool to fit it, flippin cars, they're great when they work and horrid when they don't!!!!
I have managed to do some housework this morning inbetween car part hunting so its all looking a bit tidier here [not alot!!]

Moring all
I'm without kiddies or DH until about 6ish tonight so the big plan for today is our Bedroom - its a hovel, since January is been a dumping ground for all sorts and everything so today it finally gets sorted and if I've time [doubtful but you never know] I'll go into the garage and start to clear that too
Have a good day everyone

Good luck Helen! And to all doing unmessying type stuff - and if you're not, have a lovely time whatever you're doing! I am drowning in mess and clutter, but the kitchen is nearly done!! I should be able to move stuff back in there tomorrow or maybe later today.
It's very *ahem* rustic (i.e. totally bodged and not at all professional - not something you take pics of to show people what you've achieved) but it is clean and utterly decluttered!

Morning all
Trolly, well done for what you have got done so far. Try not to break the jobs down into smaller chunks. I tend to get overwhelmed when I see how much there is to do so I say to myself I will just do an hour then see how far I have got.
I felt really fed up on Thursday - my lovely SIL had my kids for most of the day and I just felt like moping about. Instead I made myself have a big clean and tidy. The house looked good when I had finished and I did feel better about things. DS came home and said "so, what have you been up to today then Mum?"
Took my SIL and all our kids swimming yesterday to say thank you. I really appreciated having a day off, especially with DS1 being very anxious at the moment. Oh well off to get OH and DS out of bed and see what the plans are for today.0 -
Afternoon
, where did the morning go!!! Right My home is a mess. I have had nearly six weeks school holidays to get on top of it and have somewhat failed. I have made inroads and decluttered and raised £391 on ebay getting rid of my[STRIKE] junk [/STRIKE]stuff but more needs to be done. Despite my best efforts I fail miserably as a flylady and seem to spend my life lurking between this thread, flylady and the declutter thread - maybe why my home is a mess :rotfl:.
Today I will be mainly working in the lounge and am planning on using the dot to dot method, ie picking a spot, clearing that and rehoming stuff to it's proper place and then moving on to the next dot:eek:.
So cup of tea first and first I will be clearing the lamp table in the corner.:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

Managed to get rid of the rubbish from the bathroom today - so the floor looks cleaner. Acquired some free flowers too as I espied that someone had chucked them out when I went to the bins...I rescued the crysanthemums and now have two posy vases of flowers, I know that if I had got them from the shop they would have charged me £4 for them:eek: I had some flower food so split that between the vases.
I need to sort out the kitchen again as I need to cook up a quiche and I have 2lbs of bacon bits to cook up, then bag for the freezer.0 -
Horace - nice find with the flowers
I'm halfway round my room [slow start due to DH having a crisis at work that I had to help out with] I have 5 bags for freecycle, I'm advertising it all as car boot looty so it will hopefully help someone out, I haven't got the time to carboot it or Ebay it at the moment so someone else can benefit from it and I get a clear room - all round winner
See you laters gators

Well that is the lamp table cleared and cleaned and gibble rehomed in their proper places (ish), along with the coffee table. Wonder how long they will stay like that?
Currently waiting for OH to finish his paper, then he can put together the IKEA cabinet, and then I can tackle the spider corner:eek:. Although I have a suspicion (sp?) that to put the cabinet in the corner, he needs to drill out the walls to put the cables in = more mess;).:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j
