Can I join this thread? My house has been a mess for 12 years! I love it when I manage to decorate/clean/declutter parts of it and fantasise about having a whole house like that! I completely sympathise with those who are tired - I seem to be fatigued all the time these days and when I'm working I get up at five, drive for nearly an hour each way and by the time I'm home housework is out of the question.

I work in education so I have the summer hols at the moment, and have finally started to do the kitchen up. I've ripped out the cupboards that were falling off the walls, and had the old gas cooker removed (I'm now camping in the living room with my portable hob and a new halogen oven till it's all finished!)

I've stripped and painted one wall, working on the next now. I keep having to come and sit down for a bit, so wanted to join this thread to keep me motivated!

PS Kobe is beautiful Natalie! Aren't hormones weird? Hope you'll be feeling on top of the world soon.

I've reached that "why did I start this?" stage with doing the kitchen up now. It seems to be taking forever and there's so much mess - all my kitchen stuff is piled up in the living room and the kitchen is now covered in old wallpaper - I'm almost ready to cry! I'm off for a shower now, I'll have to clear up the mess in the morning.

jps - hang on in there - it will get better and then you'll be so glad you did it, it always looks horrid before it looks good

Rummer - well done, you must be feeling really pleased and rightfully so

Well I sorted the Kitchen and even mopped the floor but DH has been in there cooking tea and I'm avoiding it as it'll look a mess again

jps keep going hun and you'll be glad you did . we started doing ours and kept putting off finishing the decorating but we took the bull by the horns one week and finished it. Only problem now is we found loads more stuff to ebay and it's on under and around the kitchen table.

Nowt done again sadly knees too stiff and too many visitors but grandson goes home in the morning his parents are at a wedding today. Grandaughter off to stay with her mum tomorrow first time ever. last time she screamed her head off after we left and we had to go collect her she was distraught.
better luck this time then tomorrow and monday we might get something done.
