sorry i've been away so long but i left the lappy off to try and get more done.

Natlie congrats on baby kobe my grandson is called kobie and we couldn't find a nice middle name for him so for a joke my son suggested Lexus and my daughter loved it so that is him lol. He's 3 this year.

Well my craft room is now empty and about 2/3rds of it tidied away elsewhere just got the rest to do tomorrow . Have repainted my former craft room this morning was pink now blue so my son can sleep in there. New beds for 2 of the boys will be bought and assembled tomorrow and their bunks will be put up in my grandaughters room. So then i will just have the hall stairs and 2 landings to paint. plus utility room to change and 2 toilet floors and a bathroom floor to lay after they've all been painted so the end will be in sight . By then it'll all want doing again lol.

4 trips to the tip used 15 rolls of bin bags 3 spray bottles of cleaning fluid and numerous cloths and listed allsorts on ebay with another 100 or so items still to list. Still they are selling so all good.

    Onwards and upwards fellow messies.

    Morning Meessies :D

I stayed up late last night tackling the bedroom and it was an amazing feeling waking up to a tidy house! Today I am going to venture into my walk in cupboard/wardrobe which is a bit wild and get it sorted out. Really not looking forward to that adventure

  • So it's two weeks until my Mum comes, we still haven't cleared the spare room :o, the living room still needs a few bits done to finish it off :o, I'm just about managing to keep the bedroom clear (despite hubby's best attempts at leaving his jeans, pants & shoes all over the place ), and the kitchen as usual resembles the before shots in 'How Clean Is Your House'.

I don't understand - we're two grown (supposedly) adults. How hard can it be to keep a small flat clean? *sigh*. Going to try and berate/beg hubby in to helping me get a good blitz done on the place this weekend - might feel a bit better once we get over the hurdle of clearing the spare room...
In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!

Well I've done zilch in the house today!! We went for a walk round Bow Brickhill woods - got lost, Mum came with us - she'll sleep well tonight lol

I'm looking forward to tomorrow afternoon as DH will be at work and the kiddies will be at their Dads so I'll get some jobs done then hopefully

Elaine - bloomin toerags - hope your day has got better

Well done Rummer and I'm speechless, Craftygranny!
I had some lads come to clear up my back garden. Really it's just one large flowerbed that was a sea of perennials mixed in with out of control self seeding escapees from elsewhere. Well, one area was left uncleared, as halfway through the lads discovered a family of hedgehogs in residence!
How long they have been there, I have no idea. But not long, I think, as the slugs and snails have demolished my hosta. Still, the rest of the garden looks great.
You should have seen my son's face light up when I told him about the hedgehogs... Aww, you may think, cute kid ... He is 28 next week!

  • Hi Messies

Well done Natalie welcome Kobe! Good luck Hart for 18th.;) Go girl Crafty Granny!!:j

Thanks to colleen pamela and laurel i think? for the advice about my charm bracelet. Had a jeweller recommended as my old one retired!

Well I've officially flipped my lid!! PND or depression has tried to beat me down so much I had to have a Dr's appt and the crisis team came out on Mon to see if I needed the square wheeled van and the latest look in straight jackets!!:eek::eek:Seriously, I know a few of us on here suffer from depression. I have been lucky before I did something silly. Please thise who feel overwhelmed talk to someone, even if it is just us on here. I feel a little better today, had an appt and lots more to come. Have felt more tired and emotionally drained. Have wept an ocean. Obviously got very little done this week, have boxed lots of ds clothes to give to my sister for my nephew.
Got a book about clutter from library by sue kay. Wow, thought in the beginning she was talking about me!!! Anyway fellow messies it has been a funny old week. Need to pull myself up by my bootstraps and crack on with this mess. :p Lots of babysteps me thinks!

oh ex trolly hope you're ok. Glad you have someone to speak to and i hope it helps. My oh was diagnosed 30 years ago and i really feel for him.

Well sorted the beds out today and moved wardrobes etc around just need to sort out all the clothes and books etc from the rooms now.Just a shame the living room and kitchen especially look like a hurricane just ripped through. lol
I only do sitting down jobs as i have 2 bad knees so can't stand for long but i'm a whizz at painting the bottom half of any room and turning out drawers and cupboards . Just glad i have 2 19 year olds who will willingly do heavy lifting and furniture moving and at over 6 feet tall can easily paint the top half of the room.
They hate sorting stuff so they bring it all to me i sort and fold then they put it away.

i'll never be a fly lady but at least i'm finally getting sorted out.

McCulloch your son made me smile mines like that and he's 31
