I had quite a good day yesterday, got 4 bags of books together to take to a charity shop, a bag of clothes decluttered, and am attempting to turn the spare room into DD's room as she'd like a change (and the bed is nicer in there). Whilst doing so, discovered the dust bunnies have had babies and that the nice bed needs repairing, eek! Good job she's away for a little while.....

Upstairs looks worse than it did before but hopefully it will not take too long to clear out the rest of the tut so that we can both get to our beds safely!!

I have had a reasonable start to the day today! Got the dishwasher emptied, restacked and on. Just about to get a laundry on and I have loosely tidied up the living room. Popping out for coffee and cake later so I will maybe take a few bits to the charity shop if I can round some things up. There is a bag of clothes at least that I would like to get rid of.

  • Morning All.

Well we've finally brought our new puppy home this weekend. Needless to say hardly done any jobs around the house. I'm constantly having to watch where I'm walking for fear of standing on him. DS is over the moon but we keep having to remind him not to pla so rough. No major toilet accidents so alls going well. littel thing is curled up on my knee as I'm typing :)

Going to sneak out soon to take DS to an indoor play, the weather is so horrid.

    Next break taken

DS is painting his bedroom ceiling  could be interesting - may have to do second coat myself but at least he is trying.

Sausage and red wine casserole in slow cooker, with carrots, onions, mushrooms and courgettes to go in later.

Kitchen sides blitzed, dining room next, then wash floor through both parts.

Report back in one hour :j

    See you all later

Hope you are all having a good day

    Hello
Im back! all well and with beautiful son who was born at 2.30am on the 7/8/11. Not the easiest birth after induction, cord around his neck and midwives broke placenta but he was worth all the trouble. All messy duties have been passed to OH who has done dishes laundry and lunch!

    OK back in three hours

Congrats to Nat and DH on the birth - home before he was due - should have been a Virgo.

Bedroom ceiling has had one coat and looks better already but definitely needs a second

Been out to get match pots, DS has this "stupid" idea of wanting white walls and reckons DH has said okay to it - this is as well as wanting to knock a hole through the wall so that the spare bedroom is an annexe to his. Remind me why did we extend the mortgage to add an extra bedroom - oh yeh it was so before we paid it off we could turn the house back to a 3 bedroom

Kitchen and DR are almost perfect will mop floor after dinner.

Done 4 wash loads and all line dried, but definitely turning dark now so next lot might be on the airer.

Ironing to look forward to :j:j:j - ok not really :j

Had someone round to do the garden earlier - just do not have the time and most definitely not the knowledge - 4 hours work £40 and it now looks lovely - although a little naked, where I thought a lovely plant had seeded it was apparently bindweed :rotfl:

Off now to prepare the veg for dinner

So, today I have- hung the curtains in the bedroom (mum gathered them for me), cleared up my side of the room, hoovered the carpet and the landing carpet; I've hoovered throughout downstairs and mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors....cleaned the kitchen and bathroom...washed up...and swept the path of all the paint OH presure washed off the side of the house. And did a bit of weeding. And cleared up after the dogs.

    Think that's it.

Well done on the baby Nat :)
