  • When you said clean the cookies I thought you meant clear the cookies from your biscuit tin!!! And then reading more it dawned on me you meant clean up the computer!!! Doh!!

I have posted my news on the daily thread, but won't bother putting it all over the board depressing people, hopefully the end of the week will bring better news and I can have a productive weekend. xx

oh no jackie (((((hugs))))) nothing too bad i hope. I fully agree on clearing cookies being essential decluttering activity, in fact im goin to give it a go myself in a min. I am absolutely shattered, but am determined that tomorrow, im going to gut the living room!!!! My dh keeps asking if im getting ready to leave him or am i pregnant and nesting lol. Bless him!!!! Wish me luck for tomorrw, i think its going to take all my energy.xxx

I am pregnant and still waiting for the nesting to kick in. It must happen soon as I only have five weeks to go. I did mow the middle of the lawn today (DH did the rest when he caught me) and did some weeding. Also a load of washing done and dried but still needs to be put away. Tomorrow I WILL FINISH grouting the tiles.:rotfl:

I hope the rest of the week is more positive Jackie.

I've loaded the dishwasher straight after dinner (ready for the morning) which is a first for me and the kitchen looks alot better but I haven't done much else today apart from move the clutter around or should I rephrase that to move around the clutter!
This morning I'd measured up a cupboard (which was messy:o ) and gone to get some sort of storage boxes and not a single one would fit
Grrr! sometimes I think that the messy baddies are plotting against me
    Your suggestion BB
"empty surfaces, rest, dust, rest, hoover, rest" works very well for me as I don't seem to feel as drained especially in the warmer weather
My ideal solution would be a group of people who empty a room and bung all the stuff outside and then help me "space" it back into the room (sort/purge/allocate/containerize/equalize- an american idea) but heyho I live in hope - it always seems easier to sort out when a friend helps you to have a laugh at some of the things you are holding onto - do you really need all those ?? and no I don't think you could get anything for them on *bay:D
I have to catch up with all the motivational fixes from you lot in order to set me up for the next batch of small tasks
Parsnip - ooohhh! 5 weeks to go :T(don't do too much) why not play noughts and crosses on the tiles while grouting in between just make sure you use a washable pen!
    Messies rule!
Tomorrow is another day JG and you are allowed as many chillaxes as you like x
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:

    Good morning ladies.

I have read your thread from start to finish it and have been so motivated by it, I kept stopping to do little jobs and then coming back to the pc for more. So this morning, the new shower curtain (that has been sat for 2 months waiting to be changed) has finally been hung up, one drawer cleaned out and sorted, bins emptied, the decorating stuff has been put away, the BM is on, DW emptied and reloaded and all drying up put away.

Thank you so much for the motivation and keep up the good work. I am especially grateful for the tip about doing stuff whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. Genius! So much was achieved in that short time.

    Have a great day.

:rotfl: Instead of moving the heated propagators from room to room (finished with them for this year), I actually got the stepladder out and put them away in the loft until next year. They've only been sitting in one of the bedrooms for about 3 weeks!

My house is in a terrible mess.
I work from home and when I finish work I don`t feel like doing the cleaning/tidying.
At weekends I like to get out and about so don`t feel like doing it then either.
Have so much clutter in cupboards and lying around that I don`t really know where to start.
Tried the decluttering threads and flylady but find them a bit too intense.
I fight a constant battle with the ironing mountain.
Need to clean the kitchen/diner which is also my office.
Have another pile of papers to be shredded and don`t even know what is in a pile of papers on the table.
The bathroom and bedroom also need a good sort out.
    1. Plan for today is to put the clothes away I ironed yesterday.
    2. Vac the living room, hall, stairs and landing.
    3. Clean the bathroom.
Hoping this threat will give me a kick up the bum and get me going.
