Aww thanks Hart - I miss being on here. Talking to you all here helps me focus my thoughts esp with bigger plans.
Trying to read all the psots I have missed - hope you are well x0 -
Morning all
Back from a week away with the kids and OH, lovely and relaxing but I spent far too much - and it was only meant to be a cheap break!!! This might give me a bit of a push to do a car boot sale and recoup some of the money I have spent.
I also now have a mountain of camping stuff to put away so I have decided to look out for car bootable stuff as I go through the cupboards.
I am also hoping that DS will get rid of some stuff too. I really need to decorate his bedroom but its so crammed full of stuff that you cant move in there. Anyone got any suggestions? He is 12 and I would love to make his room really nice but he refuses to throw anything out. He does try to keep it tidy and will go in there and spend ages reorganising things but its hopeless unless we actually clear out some space. He has a drawer full of plastic dinosaurs for example and he is 12 for heavens sake!!
Oh well, sitting here isnt going to get anything done is it?0 -

Thank you BlondeI think Im ok :rotfl: yesterday was a CBA day :rotfl:
I started well, I decided as it's free listing wkend on ebay I will get ALL of my stuff in the bedroom sorted and get all pics done but then my camera battery died on me and I was left with a bed covered in stuff
I sorted it into bags, 1 for ebay, 1 for winter ebay listing (coats and jumpers etc) and 1 for CS, so now have bags to negotiate when going to bed :rotfl:
Today I AM going to put some of it on ebay :rotfl: which means no houseworkI will have to iron the big pile I have too or OH won't have any work shirts tomorrow
Parsnipkeep resting you will need all the sleep you can get now to make up for the lack of it when LO does show

BB - sorry to hear you have been having a carp time - nice to see you back on here
Yorkshirelass - can't you ebay some of his stuff and let him have the profits - he may soon get the idea of getting rid, when he see's that it pays for him to do so or maybe do a car boot with him and he gets to keep the money - my kiddies let me ebay their stuff and I give them the money - win win for me as I get rid and they are happy to do so
Well I'm signing off for the week now - on hols - hope you all keep well and that babies due arrive nice and safely

Oh well - Sunday is here - a visit to Mr T is in order (couldn't go yesterday as I was working) then back to the ironing........but the lure of a clean tidy living room is strong......will I be able to resist the call of the bin bag today, I wonder? :rotfl:
Shame I have to go back to work tomorrow - I'm getting the hang of this decluttering lark now!
Will post back later when I have anything to report - shower first I think.
Hope everyone has a nice (restful) Sunday!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

I snuck in here to have a read as a delaying tactic before I tackle the kitchen surfaces/sink/cooker hob then start work.
I posted about this somewhere else but I can't find the post now.
What I did with my boys when they were small, maybe 5 and 7? and we were over run with all sorts of 'stuff', was to buy them each a 'special things box' (aka a plastic crate to you and me). I told them whatever (out of the small stuff) they could fit in there and clip the lid down they could keep and everything else had to go to friends, charity or the bin. I wasn't going to censor their choices. It took ages to sort out - but a really good activity for rainy days. If there wasn't room for something new added later, something old had to go to make space for it. Much to my surprise they actually enjoyed it as a challenge and kept it going into their teens. Goodness only knows what you do about the big stuff. Maybe tackle getting rid of the outgrown things one at a time so he doesn't realise the size of the cull that is taking place.
Good luck

Hello,
Can I join you please??? I was a flylady but always started out with good intentions then by Wednesday id be all frazzled out.
My day usually starts at 7 with the mad school rush, but by 8.45 kids are at school. I work from 3pm - 10pm 5 days 1 week 2 days the next but I never seem to have "time" to get anything done. (Im easily sidetracked).
Kids have been on school holidays and are back in school tomorrow (HURRAH!) and my home is a sh1thole and needs to be kicked into touch starting with the living room.
I plan on doing everything in 15 minute spurts and have found an online egg timer which I will use. I also need to make time to cook meals for the children so they can just reheat when im at work so need to get organised with that too.
This "I'll do it tomorrow" option just isnt an option any more!Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

Sat here and read some of the thread whilst waiting for the mince I forgot to take out of the freezer yesterday to defrost in the microwave. Had a brew and a ciggy and now I am going to make a spag bol for tonight and a chilli for tomorrow, whilst that is cooking I will unload and reload the dishwasher and shove some washing in the machine. Oh and I will clean the worktops whilst im at it. Wish me luckSealed Pot Challenge member #982

chilli and spag bol simmering away, dishwasher on, washer on, worktops cleaned, rubbish taken out. Quick brew then will spend 15 mins tackling the living room!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #982
