    Hello all,

Beautiful day here, which is cheering me up. (well, that and the pills and the fact I'm not in work)

Esther hope you will have a lovely holiday!! and I would prefer a flask and HM cakes over a cafe anytime! :T
EXTrolley please have some cybersupport from me!! My sis had PND twice and I hope you will be better than new soon with the help you're getting. Remember though... only do things when you feel ready!!! {{hug}} :A
Hart I love your HP!!! Would love to make the quilt, but wouldn't know where to begin... I'm a sewing machine super-novice. I know how to do a pillow case, but that's it... :o
CraftGranny you and your oh shouldn#t feel guilty!! It's a waste of your energy (or spoons) and think that you can only get this time you are spending with your gkids once. I'm sure the cleaning will wait for them to go back school. The main memory I have of my grandma's is the fact they had all the time in the world for me. :)
Barneydee I know how you feel, I'm a hoarder, but am learning new ways and have stopped feeling guilty or wastefull when I throw things away now. Maybe Freecycle things? It makes me feel better and it's amazing what people will come and collect!! :p
I think starting with bags (or boxes) and 1 for keep, 1 for maybe and 1 for throw worked for me. I then decide if the throw is dump, cs or freecycle. The maybe's I then do the next day or after a break. At first nothing ended up in the throw or maybe box, but I am trying harder... ;) Good Luck!!
Fizz well done on the rent front! :T

Much love to one and all ! :)

    Hey everyone,

The sun is shining here in the midlands, I don't want to say it too loud in case I scare away the sun but *I'm going to be hanging some washing outside as soon as it finishes*. I always threaten this and then it rains.

Got a bucketload of housework to do, might enlist the help of my 6 year old so he doesn't get bored.

Thinking ahead to tea time, I was planning to do a chicken curry but I think a ploughmans in more in order given the weather.

    Have a great day all

Well that's the 3rd kitchen drawer done - horrible! All scrubbed out and clean now though.

I'm getting the 'so much to do and don't know what to do next' feeling today - probably because I'm working tomorrow (can't remember the last time I worked a Saturday!) and I'm feeling interrupted already, if that makes sense? My mum is moving house 140 miles away (bless her, aged 80!) to a retirement complex near my sister on the South Coast - so we are getting lots of phone calls and queries about packing, solicitors etc! Will invite her round for fish and chips tonight I think, no cooking that way!

Oh well, back to the kitchen - should I do a cupboard now or think about clearing the fridge and defrosting the freezer? Decisions, decisions! :D

At least the weather is good so it's 3 loads out on the line and another one in the machine! Dishwasher is on too so not doing too badly. This is my holiday after all! :rotfl:

And the nice thing is I'm not alone - nice to see others are making progress!

    Afternoon everyone :D

Just got back from a lovely day out with DS and little dog :D We went to the National stone center and Carsington water :D
It is amazing how the sun and a fantastic walk in beautiful Derbyshire has lifted me :j I wish we had taken a packed lunch though but I was only expecting to be out for an hour but we called in a chip shop and we shared a bag of chips :D
DS spilt his juice all down himself so Ive whipped his clothes off him and put them into soak and put more washing on the line.
Now sitting with a coffee and maybe do some sewing in a bit as I CBA with housework :rotfl:

Thank you Sentora :D I just looked up patchwork tutorials and winged it most of the time :o but it turned out better than I hoped :D

Sagaris :D its so nice to have good weather so washing gets dry quick and not hanging around the house :D

Hope everyones day is a sunny as the weather :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

I'm cream crackered but still going! So many bin bags outside ha ha! Not quite finished yet, all the food cupboards have been done, I'm ashamed at how much out of date stuff there was - but now it's nice and clear I can keep it that way.

Got Mum coming for fish and chips soon - best I get a move on to make the place look respectable - although as she's packing ready to move, her place is pretty much the same!

hatt44 - we are off to Bakewell in September, really looking forward to it! Lots of lovely walks - and hopefully an immaculate, tidy, clean house to come back to! :D

ex trolley just told my oh your idea of a messy convention cheeky beggar said good idea where down the tip.

Sentora Thats exactly what my oh said the cleaning will still be around tomorrow but the grandkids will soon be grown . Had 4 of them here all day today and 2 more threatening to come tomorrow. lol

Barneydee Hi and welcome . Start slowly that appears to be the key. I started in the kitchen and just cleaned a bit at a time it took me ages but i started with the sink and made sure it was clean and empty every night before bed and it always made me want to clean something else seeing the sink shining in the morning sunshine. Now i sound more cracked than i think i am.lol

Lots of cleaning and washing being done by the sounds of it in all the sunshine. Have fun messie mates and remember babysteps all the way.

    Morning all,

Just a quickie post. Had a lovely day yesterday and have now got some planters outside with actual greenery in them (ony have a yard, concreted over)

Planning loads of housework today and oh said he'll be helping. Hoping to get a new washing line (all the bits are here, just needs screwing to the wall)
We'll see how far we get.

Anyhoo, hope you are all enjoying the sun as much as you can.

    Much love to all,
    Sentora
