Didn't get much done yesterday - back to work! :( Got 3 loads of washing done overnight/this morning, just a shame it's going in the dryer as the weather forecast is unpredictable!

Did get living room and stairs vaccuumed last night though, and the usual dinner etc done (DH supervising!), and a quick trip to Mr T done on the way home - but now the kitchen and bathroom are looking so nice, it's actually a pleasure to keep them that way!

Collected another book from the library, this time it's 'Speed Cleaning' by Shannon Lush and Jennifer Fleming - will have a look and report back. I have another couple of decluttering books on order too, can't wait!

Good luck to all fellow Messies today - I will have another go tonight!

Hello peeps. I'm very messy too, so can I play?? Just had both families round this weekend for baby's christening, so not had a chance to catch up with the usual house stuff, plus extra mess from extra people. Plus loads of washing that couldn't be done because of lots of extra people. Hey ho.

    Morning

    Welcome skintgypsy.

Went to make scrambled eggs last night, just to discover the eggs were frozen so am now defrosting my fridge freezer. Washing machine on too. Kitchen and bathroom pulled into shape. Hands not up to anything else today so leaving the dust to rearrange itself artistically.

Hope you are all having a lovely day with plenty of coffee.

I ran around this morning doing more washing, puttting DW on and even hoovered  its amazing how much you will do when pushed :rotfl:

I have taken DD off to help with some horses on a farm, the lane we had to go down nearly shook my little car to bits :( and I have to go fetch her yet
Hope your day is what you want it to be :D and hope every one keeps well :D

    Morning everyone!

Words can't express how proud I am of all of your efforts, big and small! I had a tough time last year with a few things (being ill) and it left me the chance to at least sort out some stuff at home to create a more calming, relaxing environment. Well done you on working towards the same. I can honestly say it is worthwhile and so much easier to keep on top of the little things about 1.5 years on now!

    Keep going! xx

My house is a pigsty!.I could blame the hordes of rampaging children (only 4 left at home now !) and me being of limited energy and mobility for 10 years+ but really its such a mammoth task its so disheartening.:(
Inspired by you all today I've sorted my pan cupboard and baking cupboards and fixed lid holders to them.Last week I bought mirror plates and screws and am now putting all pictures/frames/mirrors I find onto the walls where they cant be knocked off and they cheer me up :).
Not having been food shopping for 3 weeks has led to my DH clearing the pantry and cleaning and sorting it to use up all our old stuff. Some was binned but much has been used to bake with the children.Messy but fun at halfterm for them all.
Thanks for the inspirations.I will wade through the thread after my nap and make a list of ideas.Thinking is tiring so multiple choice will be great:)
Every day above ground is a good one ;)

OMG I have caught nesting - and my pregancy has made me go mad - the first incident was on Sunday when I was caught washing the rubber seals on the dishwasher - my second today was I was on a stool washing the walls in the kitchen lol! I have also washed my kitchen clock this week. Have worn myself out again!

    Morning fellow Messies!

Didn't get any 'extras' done yesterday - busy day in work and other 'stuff' going on :(

Still, as I worked last Saturday I'm having Friday off - so another day to blitz another room (or two!) So if I can finish off the two cupboards in the kitchen (easy ones) then it gives me a whole day to do something productive.

Another book from the library - Speed Cleaning by Shannon Lush and Jennifer Fleming - lots of good ideas, might well end up buying a copy!

Hope everyone has a good day - weather seems ok at the moment which is always a help!
