    Hello Everyone

Well, my name is Di and I am a cantbebotheredtodohouseworkaholic. I have let things get so bad at times that I wont open the front door LOL. Things have just become rather overwhelming and daunting. Apart from the basic so we dont get food poisoning cleaning ( and even that is questionable sometimes LOL) I have just left things for months. I discovered the flylady thread and have made a decision to get started.

I have made a list of urgent things to do today ( got someone comming around to quote for a new bath, so have to get areas person will be seeing at least respectable ) I can see how doing lil bits every day is going to help make things seem less daunting.

I am so glad I am not the only CBA person LOL.

Thanks Candygirl. I think once I have done my urgent stuff I will give it a go to keep up with them. Urgent stuff because as I said, have someone comming for bathroom, so that means livingroom, stairs, landing and bathroom has to be done by tomorrow. Then on Tues have sky comming to install HD box in master bedroom, so that has to be spic and span. Havent moved telly and stuff in there to get to window sill for ages, so gawd knows what is nesting behind there :o

I know I will have to adjust certain things on their list because I dont have kids to clean up after or get to school. I think it is a good start in helping me to be motivated to do stuff little by little.

I have taken to commercial break cleaning - doing small tasks in the breaks of programmes that I watch. The problem is I get in from work about 5.30 and I am often in bed by 8.30.

This is what I do. I find it kind of motivates me and keeps my mind off the fact I am doing cleaning, but it takes forever to get stuff done. I do some things like sorting drawers, folding washing, ironing while I am watching telly.

I have some health issues too that prohibit me from doing too much at a time, and sometimes I am out of action for days, so it all piles up again.

    Hi Di,
    Very similar here at times.
Just had a good go yesterday so the downstairs is looking OK - NOT the upstairs!
Good luck for getting things sorted.

Well had some me time and have been in the charity shops, ended up with a book 'horrible histories' for the little da 75p.

Went in the china shop, was going to treat myself, but they did not have what I wanted, so money saved there.

Then called at supermarket, got mushrooms for the goulash, popoed them in the slow cooker when I got in, took the dog out.

Called and my friends for a cupoa, her house is more of a mess than mine, so feel bait better now!

Just listening to the afternoon play.

this is me, i am an awful housewife when it comes to house work. But i dont think anyone in our house has the tidy gene so it just gets worse.

have to admit i'm ashamed of how my house looks.

any tips? did try Fly lady years ago but couldnt keep up with it all, is it worth trying again?

i work shifts so not always possible to tidy etc in a morning (i do 8-3 or 3-10 5 days a week)
    em x
Proud to be dealing with my debts
