Attended a half day session held by the tax office about self employment. The message was that you have to keep accurate records for submitting tax returns or there are penalties so glad I've at least got the startings of a system going with the paperwork, trying to imagine how they might react to some of the creative paperwork systems I use.
1. Stratify - if it's near the top it must be important, as if it gets to the bottom and I haven't needed to search for it I didn't need to worry.
2. Whirlwind - everything is tossed into the air (usually by the cats) and the necessary pieces of paperwork will appear as if by magic - hasn't worked so far but heigh ho the cats have fun
3. Put everything in well labelled files in date order, with dividers if necessary! Definitely not the system that I would have chosen, however have had to adopt this system as neither 1 nor 2 have worked over the past 20 years
Keep on trucking fellow messies - and remember, after 6 months the dust doesn't get any thicker!:)0 -

Don't you just love it when you can treat yourself to nice things and still not feel guilt as it was a bargain
Soupdragon:D I have a big box that I throw all my paper work into but only problem is after a while I can't shut the lid so I have to sort it
I can vouch for the dust thing, mine has not got any bigger and its been well over 6 months since I dusted :rotfl:
I did a big shop today so had to make room in the freezer for the Iceland stuff I found some stew in a tub so thats what we had for tea tonight with mash
All my washing is folded ready to go upstairs, I think it will be all I will manage today :rotfl:Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

I've lost track of my house again, so annoying! I was good yesterday and stripped all the beds, it then began throwing it down so my attempts to avoid using the tumble dryer were thwarted.
Just sorted out my car insuranceboooo. My premium last year was £410 due to adding my OH, I got a renewel price of £435 (eek!) and did an online quote for £362. Yay I though, £362 is saving a load of money. I went to pay for that one last night and the quote had expired, the new quote? 407. Grrrr, add onto that an extra £25 for paying by direct debit. Grrrr, I will have a lot less money to lie around the house, maybe that will help towards the mess situation?
Off to tidy up and bemoan my empty pockets now littlest DS is going to bed x0 -
Been out to pay bills and buy essentials. Im doing the tea now and Im going to finish the washing mounds off.
The shops were empty today and I noticed that Tesco had put prices up on quiet a lot of food.0 -

Crafty granny Im suprised that you have time to sit let alone do housework. Hopefully you will get some time to yourself to relax.
Well Iv scrubbed the kitchen so its gleaming. More washing done and bathroom cleaned. I seem to come alive when its late. A bit like a vampire, lol.
Iv had to pick up clumps of cat fur from everywhere. They are moulting all four of them plus the dog. Two of them decided to fight so that was more clumps. One of the cats is a bully and she is tiny.
Ill look in tommorrow take care everyone.0
