Agh cats have just caught another mouse. Im going to have to put traps down now. I cant kill them so it will have to be humane ones. Mind you what will I do with them once caught. We face a park but someone said you have to take them at least a mile away or they come back . Any ideas welcome.0

Morning messies - I am getting really bad at getting on here during the week - health is poor at the moment and I have interviews coming up in the next two weeks. As a consequence the house is now looking like it should be tutted at by Kim and Aggy.
I vowed that I would keep at least one room clean and tidy and despite OHs best efforts the bathroom is still presentable - just. I have family coming to stay next weekend so I have to get the house ship shape today and tomorrow so that I can concentrate on the interviews and visit rather than panicking about both and leaving things to the last minute.
I have a wash on and the dishes soaking - it is very blowy today but overcast - I am hoping that it doesnt rain before I get all my washing done.
I am going to read the last few pages of posts for a catch up over the day but there isnt a part of me that doesnt ache today so it will be baby steps, little and often with a big dose of delegation to OH. He has been off all week too which makes me more mad (he has been off sick but the past few days he could have been doing something other than making a mess).0 -
My iron levels have dropped through the floor again
Mine too - I was so disappointed when I went to the hospital this week for my pernicious anaemia check up - b12 levels are fine (I have been using sublingual tabs to keep levels high between injections) but my iron levels are crappy. Offered an injection, an infusion or tabs so took the tabs and told that they will be slowest to get my bloods back up and that it might be a fortnight or so until I feel better.
Wouldnt mind but I am soooo cold and sooooo achy and bruising at the slightest bump. And the iron tabs upset my tummy so cant be too far away from a toilet confidently:rotfl:0 -

Ahhh:mad: i hit enter instead of spacebar! Thursday childrens centre came and we cleared the dining room table in an hour! Angela who came was fantastic and a real motivator.:j The overflow was put into the kitchen and on the sofa so we had only one seat! Last night DH cleared cleaned and tidied the kitchen of all its debris and washed up the pots. I can now make toast and tea!!! DH also bought me a bunch of flowers, first for ages, he said it was because I'd been trying. I think it's because we're arguing like mad.
DS is very poorly, went to Out of hrs dr Easter mon night diagnosed croup, 24 hrs later blood in cot went to a&e told it was tonsilitis. Still been rubbish past few weeks started vomitting with the force of coughing and unable to catch breath, sleeping in day, (he never sleeps at night and is going to sleep clinic next week) and won't eat or drink, temp up. Saw dr Thurs prescribed inhaler got prescription had aerochamber but never included mask and didn't notice till after chemist closed. Son started to get considerably worse got out of hrs dr appt, patronising sod!! Made me feel like neurotic mother, prescribed a "blanket course of anti biotics" even though chest was clear. Yesterday he was very limo and hot and clingy good old calpol didn't help. Dr's no appts until next month!!! DH phoned and got appt for afternoon. Saw a dr I don't hold much faith in and she was FANTASTIC said she was unsure whether to admit him to hosp. Turns out he has a very nasty ear infection!! He's feeling better this am and is laughing at his big sis. Only managed to do washing over last couple of days but hope to catch up today a bit. Have a great day messies!0 -
Hi Trolly - thanks for the best wishes. Glad that DS is feeling better - it must be hell when you know something is wrong with a child and medical "experts" fob you off. Sounds like the wee man is now on the up and up so fingers crossed this is the end of his wee run of ill health.
I have pegged out washing and put another one on - it is so cold in here I have popped the heating on so I will dry knickers and socks inside and free up my line for the big stuff - have done the heavy stuff and will leave the bedding til last as with a good blow it can be dry in an hour or so.
I have also made a huge scone based pizza for lunch and dinner tonight - got a wee burst of energy about half an hour ago so have saved some of the dough and added italian herbs and grated cheese to make some scones for the freezer too. I like them with soup or stews for a wee change to bread rolls.
Shopping was ordered yesterday from asda so that is due today - they are now doing a £2 delivery if you are happy to have your shopping within an 10 hour window - as I am in all day I dont care when it comes so it will be here between 8am and 6pm. It would cost me that in hassle and petrol and time. this way I can get on with my day and wait for the nice man to bring it in.0 -
Big hug for your poor wee mite ExTrolly, how awful they took so long to help him.
You sound much brighter today

Bless ya, its awful aint it....you should of gone for the transfusion hun, youd of been feeling great within a day.....dr's took my bloods again and i just got to wait till monday for the results
I was so impressed with myself yesterday, with my iron been so low all i wanted to do was sleep, i didnt get up till 8am (after going to bed at 9pm) then i also had 4 hours sleep in the afternoon and another 12 hours sleep last night. Im still shattered tho lol
I did however manage to get my girls bedroom totally gutted while i was awake lol, they now even have carpet!! ive dismantled their draws that were falling apart too and also sorted all their toys out and did a skip run. I also give my bathroom another quick once over.
Last night was Judo for my lad so we was there for 2 hours also and as soon as i got in i collapsed in bed lol. He is doing brilliantly tho i was so proudHe has got real problems with his self confidence...he just hasnt got any! So he does struggle, but judo is helping so much....proper proud mummy
:)
Today is my kitchen, going to attempt to declutter a couple of cupboards then do some baking, but my youngest isnt happy today and is in full on whine mode so we shall see lol
Have a good day/weekend everyone0 -
TBH taliah - if I wasnt fighting for survival in work (jobs have been cut and now 12 people chasing 4 jobs) I would have but cant risk taking the time off work whereas I might be still knackered but I am not missing any work. I went to hospital this week on a flexi day to prevent it going on my record. I will just have to persevere with the tablets and be good to myself.
I cant imagine doing all that work on the girls room in one day - how do you manage it???? I know what you mean about sleeping. I had my dinner last night at 7 (later than planned) and Oh had to drag me to bed at 8.30 as I was asleep on the couch and snoring (which was disturbing his film watching!!) - aparently he came in 10 mins later and I was zonked out.I slept til 7 (which is a huge lie in for me) and since then I have been on the go.
IT IS RAINING!!! I hate this - I am now trying to work out if I am better leaving stuff out in the hope that this wont last long (as it is still v windy) or whether to bring it in. I think I am damned if I do and damned if I dont. The radiators are full already with my second load of washing and the third is in the machine as we speak. Decisions decisions.0
