That's the one. I've had it a couple of years though. The only place it still has any mould after cleaning the feet with an old toothbrush is directly between the ducks and the clear plastic where I can't quite get to.. I'm going to have another go at it. If I have any luck I'll report back. Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0 -
Well photos are now being sorted into filing boxes, will then be able to really sort them out at a later date but at least they are somewhere dry and dark.
OH in a grump as something ordered from fleabay hasn't arrived and it's all my fault! Really p****d off atm but will not let this stop my sorting.
Just remembered I need to make bread dough!0 -
I did the earlier list so I came back.
Wash up - I should have done it last nightDone
Hang out washing and pop more in Done
Tidy, vacuum and polish downstairs Done
Mop the kitchen and bathroom floor Done
Put the tea in the slow cooker Done
Pop to doctors for repeat prescription Done
:j:j:j
I have also polished the skirting boards in two of the rooms, they were a disgrace
I just have to find homes/ bin space for the clutter I found then I'm retiring housework for the day.
Tomorrow morning I am going to blitz the upstairs and then start on the bathroom which needs redecorating......actually the decorating needs completing and freshening up after I started it a long, long time ago.
By the way for folks who are searching for Stardrops I saw it in A$da the other day, might be worth checking your local one. I also used to buy it from Sainsbugs a while back.

Hi everyone, can I please join your lovely thread? I've been reading for the last few days and I'm need of encouragement to sort my house out, it is a disaster! I've just finished exams for the summer so time to stop burying my head in the sand and clean up my act. I might not post very often but I'll be reading regularly!
I have a DH who will cook several times a week, occasionally do his own washing and washes up when we run out of plates, apart from that I do everything (though I'm sure he'd tell you he does everything, and I think he has genuinely convinced himself he is right!). I also had a stepson who's bedroom is so bad I haven't been in there for weeks, I can't face it.
I started this afternoon by blitzing the kitchen surfaces - baby steps! Going to reward myself by a bit of gardening now, I'd happily do that all dayxx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Hi everyone
I have had one of those days todayI know I can't do a lot at the moment so I thought I would list some more bits on ebay, should have known better than to plan my day
1st my mum called me on skype so sat talking to her for an hourdid get the chance to drag Henry around the living room and then my friend called for a coffee
so by the time she left DS came in from school
so I had to sort tea and then DD came home and thats my day sorted :rotfl:
Im leaving the washing up for OH :rotfl:
My biggest prob with my cluttered house is I can't throw anything I think either can be sold on ebay or used for my sewing and last year I discovered I can turn bits of wood and cupboard door knobs into useful coat pegsso I have bits everywhere
I love painting furniture and making it look better
I was very lucky to be given a pine wall rack/shelf by the friend who called by todayshe had it in her garage and didn't need it so when I started painting my kitchen last year (still not finished) she said it would look better in my kitchen
(I think there is a pic on my homepage
)
CandygirlIm glad you sorted your machine out
I don't know if I could manage without mine and dread it going on me as it's on every day, sometimes twice a day
Hope you are feeling better
Parsnipyou have been a busy bee :T:D
Soupdragonwhen I moved in with my OH I had a very large box of photo's and when we had that bad flooding a few yrs ago it made me think if I lost them I would be gutted (also had no where to store them in my tiny house) so my PC geek OH told me to scan them all onto the PC and put them into folders, he then put them all onto disc for me so if anthing did happen I can easily grab the disc better than I would a box
also I look at them more now they are on my PC than I used to + I can still print the ones I want to display off. The hardest part of doing it was throwing the photo after scanning it as most of my pic's are of my 4 kids
