Yesterday afternoon dd & ds helped tidy and clean the living room as they wanted to play twister, which they did with very little moaning and after playing they put the game away. Today another HE family popped in and it was wonderful to be able to take them into the tidy living room especially as they came into the chaotic dining room when they first arrived. Now just the rest of the house to sort, organise & maintainFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

I've not done much either, I think I overdid the walking yesterday when we went out.
Eldest took me food shopping this afternoon though so at least that's out of the way. I find going on my own difficult and often have to leave the trolley and get out.
I've been asking my daughter if she's got any washing for over 3 weeks now and all she has given me is her work clothes.
This morning she brought her basket out and asked me if I would wash what was in it, when I looked it's all socks and knickers but there were 2 bikini bottoms so she must have finally run out of knickers :rotfl:
Youngest has just come in starving as usual so I'm going to make tea and give the kitchen a quick clean and tidy whilst I'm in there.
I hope your foot is soon back to normal size snookey.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Home teaching. I don't do that in the conventional sense, but you'd think I did.
I'm an adult education tutor and serial hoarder of anything that might come in useful as an educational resource.
Except that I now teach online only, but I still have 'stuff' from my class teaching days that might come in useful sometime.:o
Four years after I stopped teaching home - based childcare I have more or less dispatched all the resources I built up of that - but I'm qualified to teach English and Maths as well (along with basic ICT).
I haven't taught English for about 18 months, but I'm still coming across bits and pieces ... handouts, Tarsia jigsaws, laminated strips of printed words that may or may not need an apostrophe. The maths stuff for classrooms is slowly going out, but it's chiefly because the framework for courses completely changed.
I am going to take a proper look at that 31 Days of Easy Decluttering. Today's was a coffee table. Mine isn't that bad so I decluttered a corner of the room instead which is beside a bookshelf - a big wad of the aforementioned resources that were lounging in files is now out.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Hi All
Busy day at Gilly's
DH is building the shelves for the airing cupboard, so front bedroom will look less like a haberdashery department by the end of today
I have blitzed the kitchen
Done 3 wash loads
Cut the grass, weeded the borders
Now the ironing mountain is going to be blitzed
By the end of Sunday our house will look more like a home :j
Have a good weekend all.0 -
ALL of my animals have been cleaned out. Including giving the dogs a bath.
ALL of them on the same day.
This is a miracle ladies. Truly.
And I returned some shoes and took a piggy to the vet.
House still a tip.
Need to practice delayed gratification.
hugs to the messies XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Wow gilly and buffy you have done well today.
I've done some washing, cleared the lawn of doggy presents and been for a hair cut with youngest.
Feeling a bit down and struggling to do things at the moment but determined to do more tomorrow. Don't want eldest to go to work naked on Monday14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
