Iv got someone coming on Friday to give a quote for the rubbish that Iv cleared from the cellar and rest of house . Ill have to scoot around the rest of the house for more carp to add.
My aim is to have less clutter and for the clutter I do keep to be organised and tidy. Pigs might fly,lol.0 -
Morning Messies!
Dark & wet here, and way too early....
Sonastin, your OH`s instant whip tale gave us a good chuckle.
Dibuzz, your poor dog must have terrible memories of being out in the rain to react like that. Glad you have her now, poor thing.
Have a decent day everyone, whatever you`re up to. x0 -
Daughter couldn't find her car keys this morning, same yesterday but they were in her bag. Today they were nowhere to be seen so she asked for a lift then moaned when I said I was going to get dressed and make sure youngest was actually awake.
She was lucky that eldest has a few days off or I wouldn't have been able to borrow his car (which would have led to her posting how nasty I am on facebook)
It's taken me half an hour to find them on the floor under a pair of padded cycle shorts, I'm half tempted to hide them further in the hope she learns her lesson and tidies up but I've given up on her now.
I've given the kitchen a wipe over and will do the same in the bathroom when I have a shower in a few mins but not doing much else today as eldest is taking me to Manchester clothes shopping (for him).
He walks through the Arndale centre every day but most shops are closed at 8 am and at 5 he just wants to get home.
Last time I went he was in his buggy and I only had him so about 24 years ago.
He needs some new clothes and is awkward as he needs a 34" inside leg and won't wear big brands or anything with a logo.
He's also treating me to lunch in a Thai restaurant he goes to on a Friday with his workmates.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

Anyway! Have been lurking for a while so thought I'd say hi. My house is a messThere's 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 chickens, and we home educate, so are here a lot. Not sure there's much hope for us, but need to at least try!
Love the Flylady gals, but all those lists just set me up for failureSo thought I'd pop in here
We also Home Educate, one of the added problems is you look at everything as a potential education resource :rotfl:Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning everyone.
I have already been a busy kitten this morning. I have changed the bedding on all the beds, put some washing on, done the washing up, cleaned inside a couple of kitchen cupboards and all of the doors, tidied the spare room and cleared the dining table.
Can't remember if I said yesterday but I chucked out a load of old spices and stuff, went through the medicine box and the toiletries shelf and chucked loads of stuff out there too. Restocked the medicine cabinet with a few bits and bobs too.
I still have to dust the living room and do a bit of a tidy, sweep the floors and clean the blinds in the bathroom. If there's time I'll make a start on some cooking for the freezer too as I bought a ton of veg on Tuesday and don't want to waste any of it.
Have a good day whatever you're up to.0 -
I reached breaking point in the office today! I was almost literally getting snowed under with papers on my desk - truly was reaching the point where I couldn't work out what to do next because I couldn't see what needed doing because it was all one big pile. So I've spent the morning clearing up all the papers and binning anything I don't plan on looking at again. Everything is electronic anyway so I can print it again if I do need to look at it. So now my desk is clear and this afternoon, I'm going to tackle my e-mail inbox and write a proper to do list so I can prioritise what they actually pay me to do.
...I just wish I could transfer some of this motivation to cleaning up at home!0 -
Alec and Sonstain congratulations on your carp clearing. Dibuzz Id stop doing anything for her until she learns some respect. Your son sounds lovely though.
Well Im sitting on the bed feeling sorry for myself as I fell down the cellar steps twisting my ankle. Its swelling but can not see any bruises yet.
Iv managed to do all the downstairs floors and cleaned the kitchen before falling so at least Iv managed to do something. Washing machine load in and bird cage cleaned.
I was going to do all kinds as the rubbish is being collected tomorrow but it looks like Ill have to try and do things where I can sit down.
Dibuzz people are so cruel to animals makes you wounder what the poor little dog went through to be so scared. Glad he has a good home now.0 -
Snookey make sure you look after that ankle, rest it and put ice on it.
Eldest and I had a lovely day in Manchester, he managed to get some clothes but still can't find a jacket. He wants one with 2 inside pockets which doesn't seem much to ask but we can't find one anywhere.
Lunch was lovely, can't remmeber what it was called but it was served with jasmine rice which was delicious.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Evening everyone
Well I decided to have a couple of hours off this afternoon and took the dog to a favourite walking spot. Met a nice man with a very lively looking collie who barked at us so my pooch had to kick off in return. Thankfully both dogs were on the lead! Lovely to get out though and I really tried to get some brisk walking going to get the benefit out of it.
I am trying to do a little bit of housework every day and it seems to be paying off. The house is far from perfect and the living room is still half decorated but I feel a bit more on top of things. I have to work at both my part time jobs tomorrow though so I wont get time to do much of anything else.
Oh and I made DS1 help me blitz his bedroom which was disgusting. I had forgotten how nice it could look and he seems to be trying to keep it that way - so far at least.
Hope the ankle gets better Snookey - take it easy.

I've been feeling a bit better and more productive the last couple of days - my 10 month old has slept through for 5 nights straight, which I think helps! Have been following a blog which I thought I'd share as it seems to be a good job motivating me to do something - I've just decluttered DH's socks (25 pairs to chuck/donate!), 70 odd bottles/sachets of toiletries, and 4 junk drawers!
