Hi everyone. Emm Im glad to see that your now well enough to return to work. Hugs to anyone else who needs them .
Iv been having yet another clear out, this time of son's room. He had clothing from when he was 13 ! he is 18 now. We have eight bin bags of stuff for the charity shop .
Im determined that this will be the last big clear out we will need . Pigs may fly , lol but still.
Things to do Sunday , ironing dd clothes , more washing of stuff for charity shop (they are clean but have been lying in drawers for a good while). Shower the dog, he stinks !. Hoover again as the only way to keep on top of the moulting of four cats and a dog is to do it everyday. That along with a rubber mop.
Had a crown fitted the other week and my dd 10, asked if it was in the shape of a crown you put on your head. Lol.

Pork joint cooking in the oven need to peel potatoes and prepare veg .
Will clean out the bird cage on Monday, Hoover and mop floors .
Son will be painting his bedroom from the selection of paint in the cellar.
Ill pop off now and start the chores.
  • Hi Messies!
Snookey, Hi & well done on your clear-out! I have a rubber broom that is brilliant, but haven`t seen a rubber mop. My old Daftie-dog stinks too - but it`s mostly on account of feeding her pilchards (as well as her normal food). Pilchardy f@rts are just something we`ve had to learn to live with...

    Messy status report:
Not sure if it`s because of thought of going back to work on Tuesday, or because it`s cooler & bright today, but I`ve had a burst of Motivation!!!
DGD`s bedding washed/hanging out to dry
Both loo`s cleaned & sparkly, washbasins too.
    Kitchen - sink/drainer/worktops clear & cleaned.
LR rugs shaken/turned, after Henrying & mopping. (Go me!)
WM load of towels done & hanging outside.

    Still to do:
    (Having a break first)
HM stuffing to make - stuffed lamb hearts treat for OH, pork steaks & stuffing in oven at same time for me & DS. Runner beans/dirty carrots & new pots to prep for tonight too.
Henry & mop kitchen floor. (AFTER food prep as I`m Messy)
Henry the Dreaded Upstairs. (See how I put that last on list?!)

LR mantelpiece, windowsill & sofa are still clear, a minor miracle in this house - but Dresser is still a total clutter-zone!

Hope you`re all having a nice Sunday out there.x
Drags self away to get on with doing stuff...

Hi messies, apparently the blocked post thing is all over the place on MSE - not sure what's going on.

I'm still improving slowly, thought I might get away without sleeping during the day today but still had to go and have a couple of hours.

Well done Emm and snooky on your de-messying! I haven't done any more apart from basic hygiene - hoping for a burst of motivation in the second half of the hols.

Hope everyone is well - have a good week!

  • Hi Messies!
Bearcub & Rosalie L & Scaredy Cat - WE like you! It`s so annoying when you`ve typed on merrily then try to post it and it all disappears! I had this just after the forum changed whatsits, after being closed for the weekend, had to keep signing in again. Very annoying.

Well, I didn`t quite get to Henrying upstairs yesterday - did the stairs then OH put his foot down. Henry was confiscated.
OH said I`d done more than enough for one day...he isn`t often so assertive, so I didn`t argue!

Today, I`ve had a lie-in (up early for work tomorrow) then put clean laundry away, packed uniform & stuff for tomorrow,
put bins out, blitzed kitchen again, and have another load in WM.
I need to nip out to get bread and a few other bits, DS & DGD like the sliced stuff and it`s not keeping very well - had to bin nearly a whole loaf as it had green spots !!! Grrr. Date on it was 12th - today. If I`d done as I intended & used up some frozen stuff I`d have room to freeze a loaf...but I didn`t.
I`m really looking forward to tomorrow - once I know my shifts/days off, I`ll have a bit of a framework to try to organise
myself around, plan meals etc., I`m hoping it`ll be the kick up the bottom that I need to get moving.
Have a decent Monday all. x
