so they were bought then returned the next day, they 'dont' straighten your hair, so you must of used them.
the item is not defect, and there is no legal requirement for them to offer you a remedy.
Not necessarily. If the salon had chosen those straightners for her after her asking them for a set of straightners that can work easily with her hair for example. And of course there may actually be a fault with them, for example may not be heating up enough.
We still need the OP to clarify.
As a side note i have had many pairs of straightners, including top of the range ones that are supposed to work miracles. As of yet the best set i have ever owned was one of my first ceramic ones. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Hi
They where recommended for me by the manager of the shop. As I have used the first Ghd's that came out and they are not same. There is no heat, as with the old version you can see the steam. They feel like a cheap standard make.
I have emailed head office and Ghd manufactacture.
When I phoned the manager the next day she did offer me a exchange then later changed her mind.0 -

So you have now used YOUR ones which you bought, which you tried to return as unused?0 -

The only time i've ever seen 'steam' on any of my GHDs (old ones and new ones) has been when my hair has still been a bit damp when i've tried to straighten it.
If you were able to register them on the website then they're genuine and not a 'cheap standard make'. The website will only let you register them if they're genuine GHDs.
If they've been registered and used I don't see what you can do other than possibly get GHD themselves to replace them assuming they're faulty.
I'm not sure they're faulty just because you can't see steam though. Are you sure your friends were genuine GHDs? As I said, i've been using genuine ones old and new for years and only see steam when my hair has been damp/too much heat protection spray etc. What happened to your hair when you tried to use them? I don't really understand what you've put. Did you wait for them to heat up properly before trying? Which ones are they? Are they intended for your hair type? IE you're not trying to straighten long, thick, curly hair with the mini styler?
Am I also reading right that you asked for a refund then opened them and used them after registering them? :undecided Why would you do that? If you were adamant you wanted your refund you should have left them in the box, unregistered and certainly unused.
GHD are usually pretty good on aftercare/customer services so I expect they will be your best chance of getting this resolved now.:j0 -
I purchased some GHD straighteners and saloon will not take them back. On the receipt it clearly states:
"Unused appliances with proof of purchase may be returned or exchanged upto 60 days from date of sale. All other retail items maybe returned with proof of purchase upto 30 days from date of sale"
Can someone help me word a quick letter please
Yeah you have since wrote you have actually used them so write a letter to the shop saying you're sorry for lieing to them.0 -

I would tie up my trusty mount outside, kick open the swinging doors, walk right up to the counter and place the GHDs on the counter. Look the barmaid in the eye and say "this town ain't big enough for the two of us".
Take your gold pieces and ride into the sunset.0
