If this is how your previous letters of complaint were worded, I'm not surprised nothing was done.Take a chillpill and shop somewhere else.

Wow, it only took you 23 minutes to get home, type up the letter and then create the post on here, that's some going!

Perhaps because the staff member did indeed stand too close for comfort, which annoyed the OP.

My point was that it was said twice, why, when it only needed saying once, if at all.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Who is forcing you to shop at Morrisons?

It is them you should have a word with and see if you would be allowed to shop elsewhere.:D

    1) Why not have a word with Duty Manager whilst in store? 2) Why not go through 'normal' till if you dislike self-service procedure. I hate SS, and wouldn't put myself through unnecessary aggro. 3) Why not shop somewhere else? A bargain is only worthwhile if you are happy once you leave premises!

    1) I prefer to make all complaints in writing and I didn't want to hang about waiting for a manager with my frozen items
    2) I go to self-service to avoid people
    3) I do sometimes shop elsewhere but I would need to travel between 3 and 5 miles to do that.

Unfortunately we become a captive market of any supermarket when we live within proximity to one. I remember living right near Tesco and nipped round the corner when I needed something. The only other option at the time were Morrisons (40 minute walk away), which sometimes I did for a change. Now that I'm stuck with Morrisons I wish I lived near Tesco again! Although I realise there is quite an anti-Tesco vibe on this forum, it's ok value for money and you get clubcard points.

I remember the time I was overcharged for an extra carton of milk I didn't receive. I was absolutely livid and vowed never to shop at Morrisons again and tried to discourage anyone I knew from shopping there. But here I am, back in the very shop (well, a different branch) I detest because I don't really have a choice to go elsewhere.

From my experience the Duty Manager can be summoned in the time it takes to blow your nose! And if you wish to 'avoid people' perhaps you would be happier to shop online!

Why? Rather an over reaction! Anyone can make a mistake. Just take your receipt to Service desk and they will give you a refund! Life is really not this difficult! :)

I surely can't be the only person who chooses self-service because I don't want to deal with people, so there's no need to have a dig at me for that

Not having a dig at all - just think it's pretty difficult to do shopping and not have any contact at all with staff if you have any queries. Just suggesting maybe it's an easier option to shop online or go via ordinary checkout if not happy with SS. You don't have to have dialogue with SA unless you want to. However, it's somewhat difficult to sort out mistakes/problems without some interaction.

    Hi
I just want to add to clear up some confusion for the Op, that some stores do have age restrictions on certain newspapers. Having said that I don't know the OPs' age but for instance 'The Sun' has X rated content so maybe the cashier was right to intervene at this stage?

Its normally down to DVDs that sometimes come with papers rather than the content of the paper. Also sometimes head office forget to remove the flag on the till after the DVD promotion has finished.
