Legitimate companies yes. I am TPS but still get the cold calls from claims companies etc. Of course, that just adds to the knowledge that the companies calling are scams/dodgy.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
I only get calls from foreign call centres since registering with TPS and they come up as "international" on my phone's screen, so they are easy to ignore.Legitimate companies yes. I have been working for this firm for many years and I can guarantee that, this firm is not a rip off all they do is claim PPI back for customers to make the process much easier we pay for the advisor to visit the homes, to make the claim progress faster and easier for the customer and we get direct contact with financial ombudsman to do this and we claim 100% of your claim back plus 8% compensation so we only really charge 17% plus VAT how do you expect a company to operate if they were not getting something out of it all I can say is if you are not happy don't deal with us simple rather than dissing this company on which you do not know a single word about.0

You claim we gain?0

no its not faster. slower infact, you have to send forms to customer/send an adviser (what advice are they qualified in??), receive forms back, forward them on. customer could have logged complaint on day one.jam06076337 wrote: »all they do is claim PPI back for customers to make the process much easier
no you dont.we get direct contact with financial ombudsman
We will try our best people dont. To complain (not all this claim malarkey, its a complaint!!) the customer can log a complaint for the price of a telephone call, a stamp or even just an email.if you are not happy don't deal with us0 -
Thanks spammer, now go do one.0

we get direct contact with financial ombudsman
No you dont. It is against MoJ rules to suggest you have such a status.we claim 100% of your claim back plus 8% compensation
No you do not. The redress method defined by the FSA is refund of premiums plus 8% interest. That is the default. You get nothing on top of that. It is against MoJ rules to suggest you can get more.make the claim progress faster and easier for the customer
You slow it down by introducing another lag on the process. It is against MoJ rules to suggest you are faster.rather than dissing this company on which you do not know a single word about.
I am an IFA. I retail financial services products. I have been cold called on a TPS number by this outfit you work for telling me that I was mis-sold. I can't be mis-sold given my status and qualifications. Yet your cold calling sales rep says I can. So, ignoring the fact I know far more than you and probably all the staff that work there (my 11 year old daughter probably does to), the lies I was told in an attempt to get me to sign up were a disgrace. So, please do not tell me that I know nothing.
However, I do thank you for highlighting what a scam this company is operating as you have verified in your post a breach of MoJ rules. I hope someone will take a screenshot and forward it to the ministry of justice.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). By which you mean unqualified salesmanjam06076337 wrote: »we pay for the advisor
And no doubt take far longer than your victims would spend filling in the FOS forms themselves and popping down to the post box (which could have been done long before you had even arrived).to visit the homes, to make the claim progress faster
Despite the fact that the customer has to obtain all the details of the account for you.easier for the customer
Whereas a consumer has to telephone free on 0800 0234567 or 0300 123 9 123 or 0207 964 0500 to use inclusive minutes on a mobile - and can ask FOS to call back if they are worried about the cost.we get direct contact with financial ombudsman to do this
Or they can write to
Financial Ombudsman Service
South Quay Plaza
183 Marsh Wall
London E14 9SR
Or they can e-mail to consumer.info@financial-ombudsman.org.uk
Or Fax to 0207 964 1001
Or they can communicate by audiotape or large print or audio tape. Or they can use Text Relay (TouchTalk as was).
They can communicate in Arabic, Bengali, British Sign Language, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, French, Gaelic, German, Greek, Gujurati, Hindi, Italian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Slovakian, Somali, Spanish, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese and Welsh.
They are also currently experimenting with texting.
So how exactly does your "direct contact" benefit customers? Do you speak to them in Klingon or something?
There is no "8% compensation". If the claim is upheld then there may be 8% per annum simple interest on any overpayment after any effect on the loan has been unwound.we claim 100% of your claim back plus 8% compensation so we only really charge 17% plus VAT
Furthermore, since it is part of the it is not something you are specifically claiming, you are being dishonestly misleading in suggesting it with the intention of gaining business for your company.
Your statement is therefore an offence under Sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
If you cannot make an honest profit then you do not deserve to be in business.how do you expect a company to operate if they were not getting something out of it
I do not see how we can "disrespect" something that was never worthy of our respect in the first place.all I can say is if you are not happy don't deal with us simple rather than dissing this company on which you do not know a single word about.0 -
This company is a cold calling company calling random public members in the hope that they're stupid enough to allow them to come out for a visit etc.
I had a call stating that I'm "due a refund" I explained that I'd never had a loan, insurance, credit card, finance etc and he stil tried to tell me that I "must have had something and paid PPI"... NO I HAVEN'T lol.
The whole reason of their call is for they're own benefit. Commission etc.0 -
i've just had a phone call from them too, for some reason i said yes to an appointment (they caught me at a very bad time at work). Anyway after about 10mins and reading stuff on here I phoned back to cancell it. They were very rude to me and were not happy about me cancelling it.0
