Ooops, I mis heard then. Glad I didnt spread that little nugget of information on the phone.0 -
As others have said, don't entertain them.
I had a call off them today at 9.15 (barely awake). I asked him how he got my number as im ex directory (and on the TPS, which i didn't mention). Anyhow, he went on with himself about PPI for a few minutes until i asked how he got my number and he said he got my number from the electoral register, which im 100% sure i haven't put it on. l said that i have never had a loan or credit card and i asked again how he had my number. He said again from the electoral register. I told him that my number wasnt on the electoral register and that i was on the TPS and that i would like his name to which he quickly put the phone down. Reported to TPS and will see if anything happens0 -

They get your number from information sold to them from banks, lenders etc. (No one from these companies will ever tell you this though ) Even if you are on the TPS sometimes it will still slip through the net.0 -
I just received a call this morning from this lot... We Claim U Gain Ltd, Matrix Alpha, Northern Boulevard, Matrix Park, Swansea Enterprise Park, Swansea, SA6 8RE. Tel: 0808 181 4444. (wcuguk.com) They told me they got my number from a "Financial Database". I told them they were breaking UK law by making unsolicited sales calls (I'm TPS registered), but the caller dissagreed as there was no charge for the service, but then he went on to tell me they would take 25% + vat from any winning claim. So I said that maked it a chargeable service therefore it's a sales call - he would not accept this so I spoke to his supervisor. Same argument again but he finally agreed that it was a sales call and agreed they should not have called me. I have again reported this company to the TPS.
Tip: Claim yourselves and gain 33% more than if you use this company.0 -
Hi guys just joined the forum after googling this company.
Received a call from them at 0830 this morning....Good Friday...day off....lie in for some of us (not me with a toddler today though)!
I was already up but they woke my wife up even though I ran to the phone...thanked them in no uncertain terms for this.Told them I wasnt interested and asked how they got my number (which is ex directory and registered with TPS).They said from the Financial Database
I was that annoyed I didnt mention TPS.Never even had PPI
The sales lad told me it was after 0815 so it was OK for them to call at 0830!!
I told them I wasnt interested and asked them to remove my details from their database.
Still annoyed...wheres my blood pressure tablets =:-(
Have reported them using TPS complaints website

Hi there, just had a phone call of them this morning! How the hell did they know who I was and my address and phone number? And stupidly i agreed for a Sam Bandash? to come out to our home to sort out the ppi and debts, but now will be canceling the appointment as the thought of them coming into my home is making me feel uncomfortable
. Can they really get away with this?

I have been thinking about the phone conversation and they knew my husband's name with out me saying and lots of other details which has also made me feel uneasy! Is there anyway I can stop my details being circulated around these companies? What esle can I do to protect my families private details from componies like these.0 -
