Doesn't that clarify what I've been saying from the start?
No.

But as the OP is wanting to change the address from a FINANCE COMPANY to a private address I can't see the DVLA actioning this change without some form of contact with the finance company, can you?
I'm curious why you imagine that DVLA would care. What goes around - comes around0 -
The DVLA would care because they would want to notify the Finance Company that someone is trying to do some unlawful work to get a V5 for a car that they don't legally own...0

The DVLA don't know who owns any car, so why is this one different?
In what way is it unlawful? What goes around - comes around0 -

Don't think the OP could care less anyway cos they havent been back since...0

sorry not been back because ive been away with work and had more important things going on..............
1. Im not intending to change address on anything, I merely asked about the validity of the process with the V5 as I hadnt heard of it before.
2. As was previously mentioned, Im not prepared to 'upset' the finance company and risk them calling in the loan
3. The finance company is indeed a sub prime lender, and that is purely thanks to the benefits office screwing my credit score by not paying my mortgage interest for one month as they had agreed due to 'computer errors' but reducing all benefits to minimum in the mean time
4. I WAS on benefits for only a short time due to redundancy but they have managed to wreck my previous 'very good' credit score in just 4 short months. I am not in any way, shape or form unscrupulous enough to sell something that doesnt belong to me.
5. Thanks for all the helpful replies and useful advise I have received no this (i.e. insurance details)0
