Ok we have sunflowers (in pots) which are nearly 6in high!!! Question is when do we plant them in their final position? Are they big enough now or do we wait a little while longer?Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

You should wait till July at the earliest, don't want to rush these things:D
oh all right then, yes you can do it now;)0 -
Lol annie123, am wondering now if there should be a competition for the biggest sunflower in a pot! So I'll tell the kids to plant them out this weekend (their sunflowers not mine), and if it all goes wrong I'll just blame the weather!Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

Despite suspecting I am opening myself up to public humiliation, count me in too.
If any of our sunflowers survive rabbit and chicken raids long enough to flower it will frankly be a miracle. I would have expected our chickens to chase off wild rabbits but they happily mingle right next to them. Quite sweet to watch actually!
