I would also like to thank the powers that be for putting this thread back on.
I would also like to apologise if any of my posts caused offence, and again I would like to thank all the people who posted advice, it wasnt ignored then and it will not be ignored now. I felt so low last night as I came onto here with my wife to make notes from the help that had been offered but now thanks to Martin I feel like doing cartwheels and I am going to use all my time reducing the outgoings and making things better.

So glad your thread has been reinstated!

My humblest apologies for not answering your question straight away, I am trying to juggle a trillion and one things around but unfortunately was only made with one pair of hands.
    .

Well done on getting this far, and it's great to see you've made a significant dent in quite a few things already eg water.

i think i commented the first time on this thread that it's very easy to get over whelmed with all your financial issues and all the advice given. I found it easier to break everything into small manageable pieces, but in saying that it still took me all of friday afternoon to rejig my budget after another change in circumstance (see budget planner at the top of this page)

Keep plugging away (even if it's just one phone call or area of review a day) and you'll be amazed how quickly you can turn things around.

I know in previous posts that you've taken on board total responsibility for sorting out your familiy's financial predicament as you see it as your 'new job role' but do try and find some quality time for yourself to relieve some of the stress as making yourself ill will make the situation worse.

I think i mentioned in another post that usually Local Authority leisure centres often do discounts for those in receipt of benefit, particularly ill/disabled(although they don't often advertise the fact). Alternatively GP's will do a referall for approx 10 weeks usage of gym/pool etc. Might be worth a look as i've found just a half hour swim does wonders physically and mentally, and it's something you could do with the children as well.

Take care and keep us posted

im sorry but how can you not include dla received for your daughters in your total income? you should have.

if they receive dla what do you use it for? surely it goes towards something that would therefore bring down your outgoings somewhere?

do you receive it yourself as well as you are also disabled?

not having a pop at you but by keeping things like this quiet from your op you really arent doing yourself any favours.
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

Back again :D Right had another look and the electric's really high some firms offer disability tariffs (think southern is one) but check out the utilities board here to see if theres a better deal to be had by switching.

also i would check with the benefit office as your income support seems low at 45.98 a month or is that cos of your work pension ,so the 473.08 you are paying more than your income will be a couple of hundred less depending on your rate of dla,and with the saving you have already started to make you should nearly have it covered
  • If both your children get DLA depending on the award, the lowest you will be recieving for 2 people is £264 (this is the very lowest award) and the highest for 2 people is £845.60 (this is the most and normally severe disabilities)

so it is a considerable amount to include in your figures.

However, how old are your daughters? Do you get the money or do they? Please everyone take into account that the OP might not acutally see this money himself, or it may be used toward assistance in the home for them etc.
