Car Parking Partnership ar University of Worcester

Hi,
I have recently been issued a parking ticket from the Car Parking Partnership, at my uni, University of Worcester, and was wondering if you could help me with regards to ignoring it.
I paid for a permit which allows me to park "Off Peak" (outside 9am-5pm Mon-Fri) and within 2 weeks had already recieved two warnings - at 8:08 and 8:18am...so completley illegitimate as I was allowed to be parked then!
Last Wednesday I found another ticket on my windscreen, but this time it was a fine. I am intending to ignore this fine but was just wondering if this is ok to do, and if it comes to it, is it possible to use the fact that I recieved 2 uncalled for warnings as a reason to appeal?
I have images of the ticket but the forum won't allow me to post links.
After reading many forums, it seems it is fine to ignore this? I've only been driving 8 months and this is the first thing that has happened, so I'm a bit wary of being chased up!?
Thankyou!

It's NOT a fine. Do not "appeal", do not contact them at all.
Once they have paid their £2.50 bribe to the DVLA, the registered keeper will receive a deluge of begging letters. As long as these are ignored, Car Parking Partnership will eventually crawl back under their stone.0 -
If your "fine" was also given at a time when you are entitled to park, it might be worth contacting the Uni expressing your displeasure with the cowboys they are employing.
But if it was given at a time when you are NOT entitled to park, then just ignore and ignore some more
But under no circumstances contact CPPOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
I find the best use of their letters is as a poop scoop [that's about all they are worth].Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0

Promise us one thing - that even if you had parked there AFTER 9am you surely wouldn't have been thinking you would have to pay this piece of rubbish?
If you would then you've not read the sticky threads by Crabman at the top of the forum and watched the Watchdog link. There's some info here at the top of the forum that you need to know!
These tickets are FAKE PCNs even if you have overstayed/crossed white lines or any other jumped-up spurious claim they reckon they have. Please tell your friends and family about this cowboy 'industry'. PPCs issue fake, bogus invoices, not tickets and there is no appeal so ignore them.
The only things to think about are:
- if there are signs specifically showing a warning about CLAMPING/TOWING by the same company. Even so, don't pay the bogus PCN - but it would be worth taking a pic of the t&cs on any clamping sign and posting it here (remove the http from the link to break it, as a newbie you cannot yet post links).
- Clamping sign or not, you should complain to the Uni about the harassment, do not apologise, do not try to explain your actions. Be certain that you won't be paying this trash anyway so politely point out to the Uni Student Services the error of their agent's ways and tell them to stop the usual threatening letters or it will be a criminal offence - harassment.
- if your car is registered to your home address then the debt collector threatograms (shown in pics in another Crabman top sticky thread) will go to your family home. Tell your family the score, show them the Watchdog link, make sure they understand that the letters are not legit.
DO NOT let anyone pay it or they are a mug (sorry, it's true!). :cool:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, thought I would bump this thread up as I have also received tickets at the University of Worcester.
I'm not a student there, but was visiting my girlfriend (who is) and received 2 parking notices within 3 days (one being at 4am!). I duly ignored both, having seen the advice given on here and assuming they wouldn't be able to obtain my details, but last week further notices for both of them came through my front door demanding I pay £120. They give me all the usual threats of debt collection agencies and CCJ's, but the thing I'm most concerned about is that they have my details- I hadn't appealed in the first place due to the fact that they'd get my details that way.
What do I do? I really don't want a black mark against my name as I'm currently applying to join the police force, but I don't want to pay £120 to these morons over an unfair parking charge.0 -

They got your details from the DVLA. Had you appealed you'd have probably saved them £2.50.
IGNORE them. The only way you will get a "black mark" against you would be due to a County Court Judgement. They may threaten you with one in the letters they will send - but you will only get one if they take you to court (unlikely), they win (unlikely) and you then don't pay up with 28 days (unlikely).0 -

Ignoring a fake parking ticket scam is just like ignoring phishing emails - it cannot affect your credit rating. If any random person says you owe them money they can't just get a CCJ or a black mark against you!
All they have is the details of the registered keeper. Do not help them by replying & saying whether the rk was also the driver, just ignore the whole con.
They still do not have any info that is of use to them and almost all PPCs never ever go near a Court - it is all about threats and they get their money when silly/uninformed/credulous or just plain weak-minded people just fall for a scam. I am sorry to say that IMHO anyone who pays these bogus tickets must be stupid surely, if they have a computer or any sense at all they can find out the truth.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Well, I followed the advice of those kind enough to give it on here, and have now been issued with legal proceedings. So thank you very much, great help...0
