Interesting. I worked on second line support for one for 7 years. I agree with you. But even the dynamic ones are often pretty static if on the same subnet, even after resetting the modem. But we won't bore the others;)
Yes, let's not! You ate quite right though...
Let's talk DTD instead I'm addicted husband impressed with free shopping but not with the late nights on my phone watching the forum! ;-)
I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!

Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A
  • Can you go through the pricecheck links and detail the 'amount that ASDA was cheaper' on each transaction, including what you were anticipating receiving today? If you could just try it on one of the three e-mails first that'd be helpful.

1st receipt details entered on site with email address (a)

1st voucher issued now linked to email address (a)

2nd receipt issued from goods bought with 1st voucher

2nd voucher issued now linked with whatever email address you use

also linked with 2nd receipt plus the 1st voucher
which is linked to to email address (a)

    it goes on and on.

your voucher cannot be linked to your new receipt!!!!!!!

The only way you can get an email saying you are over the limit is if you are over the limit, regardless of whether the DTD voucher was recycled or not.

If you did 5 separate shops with cash and each produce a £20 DTD voucher you would get the same message by email as you would if you did one shop and recycled the voucher on the same email addy.

The email address was set up on the 4/4 for my brother the same day as the first shop. The total I've received in vouchers is £76. Also 3 emails to 3 emails with potentially the same ip address at exactly the same time makes me think it's ip linked

Actually it could, when they reconcile the till (the voucher used, although appearing as "Coupon" on the receipt, will be Tesco Price Check voucher on their system for the value of £X and unless they have had shedloads, then they could manually link the two transactions. I am not saying they would (and they don't when they scan it, they just put the voucher value in), but they could - it would be a lot of effort but you suspect at some point all these vouchers will be sent off somewhere to claim the money back from Head Office marketing budget (or whatever) for the store? Whether they go to the trouble of logging all the receipt numbers claimed/voucher values is anyone's guess (but could be scanned in).

  • OK - so instead of thinking of it as email (2) in the example, think of that as month (2) instead. The logic still works.

I am trying to clarify, did you:

    a) start this month with a voucher or a cash shop?

    b) when you add them all up, including the one you started the month with and the anticipated amount you were getting before you got the dreaded e-mail does it add up to ASDA being more than £50 cheaper

This logic does not apply, because I only used one email address. I would not mix email addresses. Keep the voucher from email 1 for next mont or spend it on real shop. No need to recycle it by starting with new email. This is much easier to track.

ok... at work we produced 38 from the same ip address before we changed it... no emails!!

We just make up new emails each time.
