Thanks Ron,
That seems to make sense - thanks for detailing the information - I'm sure others appreciate it too. I know it doesn't help your situation but at least it seems to prove rather than disprove part of the theory I think.
So I would switch each time you know that your anticipated amount (without capping) is getting towards £100 (or £50 cheaper in ASDA values) including 1st shop if a voucher recycle to kick it off and anticipated voucher return for the shop you are submitting. My mistake 1st shop was on the 1/4

If you take the full voucher value before capping that is £84.84 im not sure what I submitted yesterday because the receipt is at work but I would have expected at least £15.46 if they were basing it on total difference x 2 rather than voucher value. This is same with all three emails. All starting with cash transaction0 -

There's something weird going on with the DOve body washes. I've just noticed that the Dove body washes which were reduced to £1 yesterday are back upto £2 on mysupermarket.com and on Mr T's website. However some of them on Mr.T show they are £2 then have a yellow flash stating they were £1 but ae now £0.50.
I've just added a couple to my basket and they show at £2 each so great for DTD again. If not and they really are 50p each then great for doubled up CC vouchers :j
If anyone finds themselves in a store tomorrow :rotfl: ...... could they confirm the SEL please? I won't be able to go until the evening otherwise would do myself and would like to plan my lists so i don't get caught out!
Thank you all for the fantastic spreadsheet and input. It's very much appreciated :T
My friend has always shopped at tescos ( no car and closest supermarket to her) and she has always said tesco will lower prices on things on a monday and then put them back up on a tuesday?? I did notice they were priced up at £2 today (monday)0 -

another email works out to £76.64 total saving again same circumstances0 -
simon31leeds wrote: »SO if you run through the stats using my previous example, does this work out at more than £50 ASDA price difference from when you switched between e-mail 1 and getting the rejection on e-mail 2?
Personally, I would say 3 times. If people are trying to hit £20 max DTD voucher, chances are that ASDA is more than £10 cheaper rather than spot on £10 cheaper, meaning the £50 would be hit earlier than 4 times unless you are starting things off with a cash rather than a voucher shop.
I have not switched emails. I used only one single email address for this voucher thread. I use a calculator and would not exceed £20 dtd per a shop with more than a few pence.0 -
and on that do you think it would have been £11.68 ASDA value cheaper (e.g. £23.36 uncapped Mr T voucher) that you would have been anticipating today.
The crucial bit is the ASDA saving rather than the Tesco saving, as the ASDA saving is uncapped on the calculations whereas the Tesco saving is capped and I suspect it is the aggregated £50+ ASDA saving that's being applied by them.another email works out to £76.64 total saving again same circumstances0 -

I would have thought it was below the £23.36 but I havnt got the receipts. What I found strange was getting all the emails to all three at exactly the same time.0 -
simon31leeds wrote: »OK - so instead of thinking of it as email (2) in the example, think of that as month (2) instead. The logic still works.
I am trying to clarify, did you:
a) start this month with a voucher or a cash shop?
b) when you add them all up, including the one you started the month with and the anticipated amount you were getting before you got the dreaded e-mail does it add up to ASDA being more than £50 cheaper
I started with a voucher. This may be it. But then it's unfair for mr T to count the same voucher towards the month it's issued and towards the month it's used. I do not think they can get away with that. Martin will make a meal of it.0 -
simon31leeds wrote: »Which doesn't answer what I have asked at all????? Why quote my quote when you seem to have drifted off to a new track.
If you want to get to the bottom of why you have had the rejection e-mail I would suggest working through the figures and this will undoubtedly help others.
From my perspective, I don't care for my own vouchers as I am already working around it successfully, but I had been trying to get to the bottom of this for the benefit of others.
Goodnight!
Sorry for the confusion. I must have quoted wrong post.0 -
Hi Ron - the emails go in one batch so every 'reject' e-mail will have gone en masse so no surprise there. I had the same thing happen to me back towards the end of last month but it is an automated system rather than a manual one for the success and reject emails.
Would any of your shops from the £76 odd ones have been over the £20 capped amount (e.g. the cheaper ASDA price have been more than £10 cheaper but you just got a capped voucher, accounting for it being less than £23.36 in Mr T value from todays that's tipped you over the limit?).
Crucial thing I think is the total of all shops being over £50 ASDA price cheaper including the one you were anticipating, rather than the £100 Mr T value. Let me know if this doesn't make sense.I would have thought it was below the £23.36 but I havnt got the receipts. What I found strange was getting all the emails to all three at exactly the same time.0
