Thanks sheils, thats a lovely worm

To be honest, its been so dry here the worms have gone deep underground - tipical, when you want a worm, you can't find one!!! Have tried watering a wee bit and digging deep but no luck!
Have mashed up some berries that i know the blackies like but when i was trying to feed the chick (his/her beak firmly shut!!:o) a blackie bombarded my head  - so im hoping that the parents have come back but im not holding me breath - not sure - they can be quite fickle. They left it for two days, so i am keeping low and keeping an eye out to see what occurring.
Anyhow, wee critter has settled down, so it seems for the nite, i hope it will be ok. Our garden is quite safe from preds, fingers crossed. If it survives the nite and no site of parents then meal worms are on the menu 2moro! God ....... the stress!!!!

Does anyone know whether this is a general thing or just peculiar to my Doctor. They are now only supplying prescriptions for one month at a time to avoid 'wastage'. That means that as I am on 3 items permanently my charges rise from £22.20 every 3 months to £22.20 a month! I can't understand it, the only time my medication will be wasted is if I turn up my toes, which I'm likely to do at the shock of that increase

Isn't it cheaper to get an annual or 6 month prescription prepayment?

I've just been looking at those. Currently I pay £88.80 a year and the Yearly fee for the 'Season Ticket' (for want of a better word) is £104, so it was cheaper to pay as I got the prescription (unless I was ill and needed another 3 items during the year). Now I will be paying £266.40 just for the usual meds, so a Season Ticket would be worth it. But even so, that's a heck of an increase for people not fortunate enough to have the outlay for the Season Ticket.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

The doctors here only give out a months supply at a time - DH used to have a season ticket. We went over to free prescriptions in April.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Can't see free meds happening here, If they were only doing it for people on free prescriptions (OAPs, Birth Control, Cancer Drugs etc) it would be inconvenient but for paying patients, I think it's outrageous. Maybe we should all transfer to other practices and hit their pocket. I wonder if they get paid for every prescription that they write? They're trebling their pay if that's the case.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams
