Hi,

Hope everyone is having a nice day. It is a strange week for us - DS doing work experience in a hotel except for tomorrow
as he has his last exam and DD has an activities week. They officially move up a year next week and then it is just 5 weeks until their school holidays. The last school year has flown in.
Must go and organise what we are having for dinner.

Does anyone know what's going on with the comp board at the mo? I have spent all morning catching up on comps closing today and was halfway through but they have nearly all disappeared. Not sure why as most of them dont close until midnight. I'm getting a bit obsessed and feel like I'm missing out if I don't get to enter

Yes beclee - you and me both. I thought this problem of moving to game over early had ended, but today seems to be the exception. I too am ploughing through them all - guess i'll have to go find them in game over now!! Very frustrating - especially as most of them are still able to be entered. I cannot see what the problem is with moving them the day after they've finished.

Good morning,
Just quickly popping in, I hope everyone is well.

My laptop charger died this weekend, so I have to beg, borrow or steal a charger from Dh until my replacement arrives. So I can only comp for a little each day, . I find it impossible to comp from my phone unfortunately, but I can at least check my email on there.

Anyway, I hope you have a fantastic sunny and lucky June, x

Hiya all, just a quick pop in to update, i am now officially in my first day of unemployment! very scary!

went in for what we thought was TUPE meeting yesterday when they move us across to new company and instead they said - you got paid on Friday which iincludes today so you are all terminated as of today -

no financial redundancy info - nothing! so a bit dazed and turning up the gear on jobsearch now my position is confirmed. I've loved the comping site its provided a bit of life through rose tinted glasses with the hope and anticipation and everything so will be coming in for breaks and an uplift now and again.

Feel ok and looking forward to the unknown future, disappointed with works HR tactic of DUPE instead of TUPE! But have friends have family have health all the important things, just feel have no plan in place so will go with what opportunities arise.

Hi everyone,

Who has had their first win for June then? (I haven't) My Walkers Toffee arrived though - 2 big blocks with hammers and a big jar of mixed toffees! Kids over the moon.
I am waiting hopefully for the sun to come out - it is trying and the forecast is good for the next few days so fingers crossed.

Sorry haven't been on of late, trying to multitask but its all gone pear shaped re baby bird, see below Had some familydown - they have left today, then tomorrow i have some more coming. We love everyone's company.

Son had interview last week and i was so nervous, i started stripping wallpaper :eek: random i know but i had to do something just to take me mind off things!! ps - it needed doing!!

Skippy - beaut ring, you have so much to look forward to - good luck with the wedding comps! I have been trying to enter a few meself for me daughters wedding next year. xx

Anyway I digress a wee bit, I have been trying to keep up with the comping but also looking after a wee orphan blackbird chick this last week or so. Such a sweet pea, def abondoned by parents, I left it for what seemed an eternity, but no sign of parents. Poor wee thing. I waited till the very last mo until i knew it was abandoned before i stepped in - he/she has a good lot of feathers - but so hungry - so alfieblue has been digging up worms, maggots :eek:, slaters anything that he/she will eat. Mashing and etc Yuk!!! I did apologise to the creatures involved . Got meal worms coming tomorrow :eek: Not my thing, but the soul has to eat. Seems ok at the mo, ive looked after birds before that have been abandoned for some sad reason and im up for it.

Anyway, gotta go and find some more worms - evening feed!! Best wishes to all and good luck with your comping. Alf xxx
