Jesus Skips!!! Its absoloutly beautiful - I love it - Ach we'll be ok with the house we were lucky & bought at the right time so don't have a big morgage but you only have so much spare cash at a time & the best price from builders is always cash

Nope, haven't set a date yet. Need to get saved up but I've made a start on the wedding comps in the meantime :D

We've been doing up the house hun - outside & in - we had a really nasty winter here & it done a lot of damage - it will take us years to afford to fix everything but thankfully most of it is cosmetic except the gutterings, facia etc that we have got somebody starting to replace in the next few weeks - we got a quote to fix the drive of £7,000!! Hubby having a go himself tommorrow - it won't be pretty but at least I won't break my neck in my heels. Congrats on the good news - whats the ring like?

    Hi Fin. :hello: :)

That's a lot of money.

You can give him instructions. ;)

Hiya Laks - long time etc - there's no way I would ever pay £7,000 for a driveway - luckily I have some builder friends who have written down everything hubby needed to buy & gave instructions to fix (they offered to do it for cost & labour but hubby won't pay anyone to do anything he can try himself) He is v handy being an ex-joiner, ex-clerk of works etc & done his 3 years at building college as well as working in his dads company since he was 12 (not full time though) The few times I have got somebody in to decorate he sacked them after 2 strips - only plasteres, tilers & ames tapers allowed in my house as he can't do that - when we moved in we routered all the wood for our skirtings, door frames, dado etc ourselves - I sneezed the wood for weeks
