    :hello: Helloooooeeee all!

Just having a quick comp session - too hot outside for me. We have a heatwave situation going on here - haven't had decent drench of rain for ages. Me water barrels have dried up and me grass is looking a touch brown!!

Well done guys on your wins :j- what a fab start to June!! Still waiting here for something ...... anything ...... maybe a freebie even :o.

Had a lovely couple of days - wedding preps on the go for daughter and future son in law. Have booked wedding ceremony venue today with them and also a lovely converted barn for reception. Phew - been all over. Just got to help them out with deposits to secure the bookings  - oh well what the heck, another glass of wine and all will be well!!! :rotfl:

Had another death in the garden :( Another blackie chick :(. He must have fallen out of the nest and wandered and ended up in the pond  Luckily the pond had been drained for serious maintainence issues - ie leak!!!! We didnt have any fish and froggies etc are all fine - next door has a pond. However, blackie chick was still being fed yesterday by parents, and it seemed comfortable enough and we felt it was safe enough so didn't interfere but this morning it had keeled over and gasped its last. :o Poor wee mite.

Oooo sheils re the bees nesting in the bird box ....... we stopped off today at a lovely garden centre for a browse and cream tea (any excuse :D) and we noticed they were selling bumble bee boxes!!!!
Slightly larger than bird boxes (wooden) - to fix on fence etc. May invest in one!!! Fairly cheap and would keep the
    2abeilles.giffairly happy!! :D

Daughter and fsi took their lovely doglet out last nite for evening walk and came across a colony of stag beetles - loadsa them all flying around - quite large  - omg, as much as i love nature i was so pleased i was here safe and sound cooking dinner!!!!! :D They legged it pretty quickly away lol - if i had been with them i would have shown myself up something rotten!!!!! Don't mind seeing them on the ground but not swarming around :eek:. Not with those big antler things - aaarrrghhh!!!

Well, gotta go now and serve up dins - lasagne, veggie pasta, garlic bread with a side salad (locally grown salad - did check!!!).

Have a good evening all. Catch up soon. promenerchien07.gifAlf xxxx

    Hi Alfie,

Have had a lovely day on the lake at Ullswater but tired out now as we did a lot of walking too! It was really hot even in the middle of the lake. It is about 80mins drive from here so nice to do occaisonally. We had the wettest May for ages here so everything is still green but today has been amazing. (Here as well as the lakes!) When is your DD getting married?

Hi sheils, just popping in inbetween brits got talent. Oh I had to vote for the singing dog - what a cracker, but hasn't the girl got the most beautiful voice. Just love the dog though, what a sweet pea!!

You sound as if you had such a fab time - not too far away either. Put your feet up now and relax :D dd not getting married until august next year but everything has to be booked so far in advance  Some people book these venues 3+ yrs ahead!!!! Think we have managed ok tho and got our slots in though had to change dates slightly but no probs. Everyone seems happy enough with the dates. It will be such a happy occasion and such a lovely day for my oh to look forward to. Right off now to relax and finish off the wine :o:D. Have a good evening - catch up soon. xxxx

    Hiya All :hello:

My sincere apologies because I've not been in the inn for quite a while (shame on me)

but I would just like to say Hello

and I'm sorry that I haven't had time to read back but I would like to give hugs and kisses to everyone and double hugs and kisses to those that really need them

I am so very tired now after having walked with Alice in her wheelchair for 2.5 miles a (5 mile round trip)

but it was worth it just to see the happiness on my wife's face and the Joy on her friends face (Alice was best of friends with her about 30 years ago but kinda lost touch)

my wife is fast asleep in her chair right now with a content look on her face

but what made me really happy is before she fell asleep she gave me a kiss and thanked me for the day

kisses these days are ever so precious as they mean so much to me as they don't come very often, but what was even more precious is that she called me by my name

I would like to share our happiness by linking a few tracks to some songs that I hope that you will enjoy in the next few post's I sincerly hope that you enjoy them
