I was wondering about Tudor Rose as well. Some faces missing in here and you tend to worry that they're all right.0

I buy decent brand shampoo from home bargains - palmolive is one brand i like - it's £1 for a fairly big bottle (250 ml i think).
They have herbal essences too.

I've got a massive bag of cauliflowers my OH bought from the market & there's really only so much cauliflower cheese I can stomach
Try googling "roasted cauliflower" recipes. Someone on here posted a link to a blog that mentioned it - it looked delicious and, apparently, tastes totally different to regular cauliflower. :o:o:eek:Evening all,
Been a coldy blowy rainy day here in Staffordshire, as this is one of Montys days off we spent the day tidying up the back paddock area after the awful rainfall the other day. Most of it survived the rainfall and has perked up due to the watering that they had...
Well first thing was this awful screech of brakes by the gate, dashes out expecting blood gore and mayhem but it was only our new ( not so nice) neighbour who had to skid to a halt to avoid guess what, a POODLE, he must have just lightly hit it but poor thing was limping along making awful yapping noises, Montys gone mad and told him that he was speeding and hes a bleedin nuisance forcing folk into the verges etc
Montys took said Poodle to the vets, and has come back home with it, the name on its collar is Chantelle and its now sitting on Montys lap looking all doe eyed at him and having its tummy tickled,,,sometimes wonder about my bloke , now hes saying isnt she sweet:eek::eek::o:o saying wonder if her owners have abandoned her, ye gods looks like if its not claimed we have another mouth to feed, oh and this man at :oLE:oTS:o does dog grooming doesnt he??..think hes gone all to mush over a poodle...cant stop laughing at the thought of big guy ( think Monty Don) and Chantelle the poodle mincing down to the local pub:D:D:D:D:D boy will he have some ribbing ah well we shall see, must say she coordinates well with my sofa cushions....whats that hunni??? have we any chicken we could steam for C:Dhantelle she might have a delicate stomach after her shock today..thats it hes bieng admitted to local nuthouse or is he just winding me up..will keep you posted
Been a funny old day all round had my dad in full "what state is this country in " mood today had to listen to a 40 min telephone convo about 25% utility price hikes, BTs 71% profit and had I heard if Microsoft will be asking us to pay for Skype now they have bought it!! ehhhh...sometimes wonder about my dad too, so told him no wonder BT has such mahoosive profits if old codgers like you spend 40 mins on the phoneline moaning..was deffo not i nthe mood to be sympathetic today, soz folks Im in my hide my head in he sand mood today but will arise refreshed tommorow after an early night...Yes Monty??? No that bleedin poodle is not sleeping at theend of the bed tonight, theres is a warm litchen down here for her, dog basket is now bieng filledwith the best cushion from my sofa and my best fleece for said poodle scuse me while I do him in will be online later:D:D:D:D:D
Best wishes
Annie56 potential poodle lover
***Just a quick footnote to this post...The dog was checked for microchipping, there wasnt one , ALL avenues of we have found a missing dog have been informed, police, pound, internet pet finding services, she has been well advertised but Monty felt that she would be better in our home till her owner came to collect her than in some dog kennels, and yes I know dog kennels do a marvellous job but she is bandaged up on both front legs and need help which I can assure you she has been given.
Apologies if my gung ho type of posting re this incident didnt make this clear, whilst Montys instant falling in love with said pooch was comical at ALL times we acted in the dogs best interest and will continue to do so whilst she is in our care...I am now the object of her affection and should she not be claimed she will be assured of a long time forever doggie home but she is so lovley someone somewhere is missing her and she is safe here till we find them...
Annie xx have a nice day all xx

However, the price on the wrapper of a Cadbury's Finger of Fudge has increased in price from 17p to 20p over the last week.
3p in one week. What the heck happened there??
That was a Krafty rise, perhaps?0 -
Thanks Mardatha & Jackieglasgow for your concern.
It's been a funny old year so far. In the middle of January I was told that I would have to get out of my shop because basically I was 'sh...ted' on my lease & told at very short notice that I had to be out.
I moved all the stock to my home at the beginning of Feb & am now trying to sell via an Ebay shop. This is a long, hard dispiriting process. Know I will never get anything like my original outlay back but I am going to star gouing round to sheltered housing, school fairs etc to try & sell some of my more portable stock. Didn't help that I had to have a bone removed from my left wrist at the end of January to help my arthritis & was in a plaster cast for 3 weeks & couldn't drive for 7.
It's not easy trying to take decent photos with your hand in plaster but take it from me that you can if you persevere.
Occupational therapist said I was very determined to get active & mobile again. I Said I had to be as there is no one at home to help. Still finding lifting anything heavy a bit difficult at times but the op has taken the pain away which was the purpose of it.
Have enjoyed catching up with the new thread & what everybody is up to. I will try & post a bit more if I can think of anything that might be of use or interest:)0 -
Annie, thank you for a great laugh. Your home is a lot like mine by the sound of it. My Dad used to say 'thank goodness there are no stray elephants in Manchester cos Ginny would rescue them!
Nipped in B&M today as I was nearby and stocked up on sugar and some baby biscuits (10p a bag) and a new mantle clock which was 2.99. Put a bit of lamb and lots of veggies in the slo cooker and it smells fab in here - my office is off the kitchen - so am looking forward to another bargain tea.
Just off to see Ds and little man, she bought me some eye cream yesterday 1.50 reduced from 12.50, luxury or what. Next project is to pad my mattress somehow as all the springs are sticking up and Im not getting much benefit from sleep. Oh is going fishing tomorrow with his disabled friends and carers so I get a day off - Yay- pity Ive got so much to doyes but I can do it all in total peace :T
Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
