Hello to you all,as you all know ive been off for a while, and so much seem to have gone on , like you are now in a new thread and its page 29 already....ive missed alot I know but im back ......
I had a nice little parcel in the post this morning ,:o I thought it was some plug plants that I ordered, so I got my gardening gloves on and took it on the potting table outside , I had the biggest surprise for such a long time, it was from the nonnymouses...:eek:at this point I still had my dirty green gardening gloves on , Iwas in total shock and must admit I shed quite a few tears, I had some creamy choculate, fudge,:Tsmellies,:Ta beautiful writing pad:Tcandles:Ta scottish CD:Ta lovely pocket size bird book:Twhich I will be able to put in my pocket when I go for walks, as I love garden birds,:Tand being able to recognize them.........some super smelly burner oil,:Tall wrapped up in lovely pink/purple feathers , and ribbons....and crepe paper..:TI cant tell you just how much they all meant to
me...........
I know it came from nonnymouse madarther as it had a scottish postmark, so my darling it was so kind of you to do that, and to all who contributed,I love you all.....your kingness overwhelmed me.........:T
As most of you know its been a bit rough for me the past 2.5 yrs, im taking meds for the breakdown, im getting there very slowly, Dr said im like a garden "he can see small green shoots."...so I take that as im on the right road to recovery......ive never felt so low in my entire life as Idid the first week of April, when I look back its scares me to remember that at that time I couldnt have cared a less if id died, I know it sounds dreadful to say that but its true....You all know how I love my 2 little yorkies and 27 happy hens , well at my worst I would have given them away if someone had have wanted them, so I must have been pretty bad, cos my animals and wildlife are my life.......
Poor gary had to go into respite for 2 weeks I couldnt cope with him, I feel terrible now when I think back but I had no control of myself......
Good points now.......we have morning carers come in to shower gary, thats brilliant , they are so lgood , its took away a huge lot from me, while he is in the bathroom, I do my own blood testing, then have insulin, get table laid for breakfast, make bed, go out do the hens and take dogs out all in that 1 hour...........they get him shaved and dressed nicely for the day, he comes out of the bathroom looking radiant and happy knowing that ive sorted myself out in that time.......so thats all good for both of us.......
Gary did have a seizure on sunday:mad: that put him back in hospital for 2 days , not what we wanted but luckily my son was here when that happened so he made sure that gary didnt hurt himself when he went down while I phoned the ambulance........
Because gary had a massive stroke 2.5yrs ago , when he fit now they take him in hospital , .............we are still upping his tabs slowly........one good thing is he goes to hospital may 26 to have botox...... NO not cos of his wrinkles, but they inject botox in his arms and apparantly he should get some movement back in his hand , like be able to open his fingers....now that all he wants he says is to have a hand back that will open, at the moment he has a clenched fist.......so we look forward to that greatly...........also county council are going to get gary into Headway...its a place for people who have had brain injury, so he will go 2 days a week , so I may get a few hours of "me time"......
Well you guys and gals thanks to you all out there, you are a wonderful bunch..xxxxxxxxxx:D0 -
That was a Krafty rise, perhaps?

I dunno about penguins; one I've seen at various places have been... well, a bit boring. Shuffle over to the keeper with the fish, peck him in the legs a couple of times if he doesn't come up with the goods...
Swimming? no chance.

Shegar so happy to hear from you and that you are OK, you sound sooooooo much better, and the sight of all those dancing smilies all over your post brought a wee tear to my eye. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Shergar its wonderful that you are back and in such a positive mood, finally getting the help you deserve. I imagine Gary is relieved as well and that will make such a difference to you both,0

Shegar, lovely to hear you sounding more cheerful, those green shoots must be starting to come through!
Ginnyknit, yes please, I would love your recipe for lip balm! Sounds lovely!
Well, I have had a bit of a bargain today: DS said yesterday, I've just taken the last loaf out of the freezer, so I thought I would look out for some whoopsied bread.
I was celebrating because I got six whoopsied loaves for 25p each in Tesco and then I had to nip in to Waitrose on the way home, and I got a large seedy brown loaf for 19p, 3 packs of rolls at 15p, 3 baguettes and a pain rustique at 12p each and a raisin and walnut loaf reduced from £2.97 to 28p!
I have just defrosted the freezer which is henceforth to be known as "The Bread Freezer". Joking apart, my lot goes through bread like it's going out of fashion. DD gave up toast for Lent: doesn't sound too hard, does it? She had SIX pieces of toast in the course of the day yesterday. Six. She is a size 10 and mostly eats nothing at all but, like all teenagers, goes through locust phases where she eats and eats. And toast is her favourite.;)
Now, if I can only find a super-cheap source of Bonne Maman strawberry jam...0 -
Shegar, I love your post. May your shoots become seedlings! xxx

Chantelle seems such an unlikely name for a dog! I'm glad she's happy with you and if somebody IS missing her hopefully they will come forward. How strange not to microchip your dog though :O :O
