I've never tried any of the cheaper brands as the children and/or I are normally allergic to them... I have to say, in our house, sunhats and long sleeved loose layers are employed more often than suncream. Cheaper and better for their skin.
That's me; have a "fun" time choosing lightweight summer clothes that cover all my arms and legs and wear a sun hat. I just use the suncream in my face, the rest is well-covered. I've had some nasty sunburns in my time even at these latitudes. As a milk-skinned, green-eyed (greying) redhead, I think my natural evolutionary niche is halfway up a rain-sodden mountain in Scotland.
I could get my legs out but they're so white that they might dazzle pilots of low-flying aircraft.......:rotfl:

We need to be as careful about our giving as we are about our spending. It is possible to see a large charity's audited accounts
For smaller charities this may be helpful.0 -

My dad always used to say 'If you don't vote then you have no right to moan about what politicians do'.
He had a point. I just wish there was a decent alternative to the political parties with all the money and power at the moment, but I can't see any of the contenders being able to rustle up enough experienced politicians to run the country.0 -
meanwhile back in the real world the sun is shining and the birds singing and I am keeping the workhouse at bay by growing my own veg, baking and make do an mend.0

It would be much easier to suspend their current claim while they're doing the temporary job then reinstate the claim when the contract finishes.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
hope everyone's enjoying the lovely, and i MEAN lovely weather today! bit worried about the ol' plants, but i've got a watering can to hand if needs must!
just a quick Q, in terms of planting spuds, you know when you find a gnarly one at the back of the cupboard thats sprouting, is it ripe for planting or is there more to it than that? xxxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

If you dont vote then you have no right to whinge about how a political party (whoever it is) runs the country. You have to be in it to win it!
That's my view anyway. I am not going to get into the economics of why I feel we are in this mess as it is neither the time nor the place.
On another note guess what I received in the post today - only the Hovel cookbook!!!! :T I have just had a quick flick through. This looks fantastic! I have used the Paupers Cookbook so much that the pages are falling out and I think this one could indeed be up there with it. And at last, a shed load of pulses recipes!!!:D Now to decipher the "old" money :rotfl: I suspect however, the tripe and onions will definitely not be coming through the door of the cottage!
I have rabbit in the fridge and was wondering what to do with it as the OH loves rabbit. There appear to be some good recipes in there but does anyone have a really good recipe please?0 -
Oh and Kimi, I have thermal interlined and then lined curtains! Best thing I have ever done. Just think about it and then do it. Or you could just attach it to your existing header tape?
CC - I am now going to have to look at that book!0
