Can I just say I hate my minky retractable washing line  it unwinds and dumps the washing on the floor no matter which way I try to secure it.
So you don't recommend that as a replacement for my lakeland one then? I turn the line round the bit on the casing in a figure of eight - they don't tend to be able to unwind from those.

Can any one think of a use for 2 old wooden chopping boards, that are no longer suitable to chop food on? apart from the bin.
I was going to suggest kindling, but see that suggestion has been rejected. I can't imagine what you've done with them to make them unsuitable for chopping food on, as mine are ancient (some belonged to my grandmother) and still going strong (although some didn't do so well I have to admit). Is it worth keeping them as separate ones for fish or chillis? Otherwise freecycle as suitable for kindling...

mega tired today, but am back to full time hours so thats going to take a bit of getting used to. house isnt that bad as OH had a whizz round earlier, its not flylady done but its presentable.

he went to look at the other house today and an offer is being made for asking price as its just wow, its everything we wanted to do to the other house but its already been done, so onto the estate agent in the morning to make the offer then onto the bank.

the bank have semi sorted out one issue, now they have part 2 of that issue to deal with, then parts, 4, 5, 6, 7 to 99 to answer to due to their incompetance. i dont mind mistakes as they happen, but what i dont like is total and utter incompetance especially when we are paying them for the privilage!

ok list goes here, will stick some bleach down the loo just before i head to bed and give the bathroom a whizz round tomorrow and hopefully pick some more of the list off.

    love hugs and spoons xx

    Evening.

A no flyday today for me as came home from work at lunchtime feeling carp and went to bed. Have had monster headache since sunday and blood pressure has been all over the place. Have managed to lessen the pain in head with one of those forehead cooling patches, look like a right idiot but its working. managed to declutter risotto from the freezer for tea and am heading back to bed shortly in the hope that the pain has completely gone tomorrow.

Hugs seafarer - you'll find that the right house will come along soon and probably be better than the one you lost

Well done cycling on your weight loss

Kazm - hope you feel better soon
Dippy - I liked your grenade comment very much
Seafarers - fingers crossed for the new house, with your DH being away so much (and your baby plans) buying finished if you can makes a lot more sense.
Shy-sarah - if you are lurking, hope all is ok?
    Serena
    - Russia? Wow, now that beats SS2 who is off to Brazil with school.

Came down this morning to a leaking radiator - one of the snug ones has rusted through and soaked the carpet and underlay. The joy of an older house I guess. H has disconnected it, and I have done my best to clean up the mess but my hatred for the Snug carpet and its attraction for pet hairs is well known. rad will have to be replaced Saturday, the pipework is all boxed in and imperial so this could be fun - looking on the bright side, rads are fairly cheap and when we replaced the kitchen one we actually got some heat out of the new one.
