    Hello Flyfriends
    I hope everyone is as well and happy as life allows today.:beer:
    Kazwookie sorry to hear about OH's Aunt. Always sad to see the end of an era iyswim; hope OH is alright.:o

    Short Bird Thanks, we've thought about non-familiarity with the paperwork;;) in fact Mr LW suspects that's why I'm required at this meeting, because the DM herself doesn't know how to do it – otherwise, I could just hand the file to her, and she could hand it to the new person and tell them what's needed, no need for me to meet them at all!*shruggy smilie*
    So... on my Toots list.... write a “*insert name of organisation* Paperwork For Dummies” document.:D They'll have my email address in case of queries, and that will have to suffice – I just hope they don't pester me every two minutes!

    I'll still be doing the other two regions within the district – but I'm going to make noises about how we really need a volunteer to take the extra region I took on as a favour on top of my own region, some five years ago. Once I'm rid of that I can start to think about whether I want to step down completely – after all, they've had eight years of service out of me.:o
    Unfortunately, volunteers seem to be as rare as hens' teeth.....:cool:

    Toots on the same subject.... I'd love to not have to go, but the DM is quite insistent.:( We've agreed (Mr LW and I) that we'll get there early, so that I can have a glass of wine to calm my nerves first.;) As I said, I think the trouble is that the DM has never done the work, she came in “fresh” as DM (after I turned the post down) and doesn't actually know the nitty-gritty. *rolleyes*

    It's going to be “fun” writing out instructions – I can do the job with my eyes shut, but I'm useless at the putting-the-words-together-and-making-sense thing.:D
    LW - if they mess you around again bung it all in a box and get Mr LW to dump it on the DM's doorstep.
    Ooh, don't tempt me!!:rotfl:

    Dancemum aww, your poor Mum; I know how frustrating it can be, trying to do things in a “new” way (in her case with a frame), when there's not enough room to maneouvre. Hope she's feeling a bit brighter today.:o

    Seafarers sensible, pulling out of the house purchase. If it was all going pear-shaped at this stage, how much worse would it have got? Best of luck with the new one.:)

    Nicki Happy Belated Birthday to your DD. Hope she had a super day.:bdaycake:

    The Flying Bit:
    I had a mad blitz on the kitchen earlier, and really, all that remains for me to do is clean glass - there's the window, which I'll see if I feel up to climbing on the step stool in a bit, and the back door is mainly glass, too (no nose art today, though).:D

    Wonderful Wednesday - Kitchen and dining room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces Done
    Scrub down the front of units and large appliances Done
    Level Two
    Wipe and replace small appliances Done
    Clean oven and hob Done
    Wash windows and sillsSill done – will see how I feel about climbing up to do the windows later
    Level Three
    Wipe the table and chairs... clean cloth if necessary Done (no cloth)
    Sweep and mop the floor Done by Mr LW:A
    Degunge the fridge! Done Saturday before F&V run
    Extras
    1. Thoroughly clean the cupboard under the sink! We did this either last week or week before; it doesn't need it again
    2. Run the WM's and DW's through a clean cycle Done WM; we don't have a DW.
    3. Clean all the filters and door seals etc Noted; seals all clean – Mr LW's job from here on as I can't get the filter on the WM open
    4. Wipe the back door down.. inside.. and out!! demange the catflap! Outside done by Mr LW at weekend;:A No catflap.
    I think my next task is the jolly old paperwork for dummies missive, and maybe get up and clean windows when my head starts spinning and I need a break from trying to write coherently.;)
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Back from tesco.. sadly they do not sell new backs.. mine is dead.. I have bruises from yesterdays scan in my navel!! :eek: I actually want to complain she REALLY hurt me and should have booked a rescan but didn't..

    I have mountains of shopping to put away.. and 2 loads of Squeaks washing to go out onthe line.. including both her chair covers :s .. she is SUCH a grot.. I have bought her long sleeved bibs though so salvage some of her clothes at least.

    Her 3 new beakers arrived today from Nuby to replace the horrible leaky 3... I get a beaker, wash it, fill it, put on the lid and it leaks all over me and her and the floor... NOT impressed! they are the only ones she will drink out of too.. ratbag!

    Don't know if they still do them (bearing in mind DD is now 8) but the only cups she would drink from were the Anyway Up cups - they were great and didn't spill everywhere. DS has been using DD's old ones so they're hard wearing too.

    Just had a lovely walk in the sun, pure bliss. Now need to buckle down. My plan is:

    * do as much kitchen work as I can
    * school run
    * nursery run
    * more kitchen work
    * up to GP with DS
    * tea. The friend of DH who was meant to be coming yesterday is coming today instead - so we have Chinese today (had to resort to beans on toast yesterday - not good!)
    * get kids ready to bed
    * off to Discipleship course

    Best get on. Anyone fancy a HHC?

  • Kitchen done & dusted, washed soft covers all back on furniture. Next hour in the sun in the garden, then out for the evening. This is how all of life should be!

    Jacob uses our old ones.. some of them we have had from DS2 who is now 15.. Squeak refuses to suck them.. the likes the soft spouts on these stupid Nuby ones.. Nuby were fabulous and replaced our 3 original leaky 3 so their customer service is great but their beakers aren't by the looks of it.. i'm sure we've not just had 4 dodgy ones! .. out of 4 we have tried. Hopefully missy will decide it isn't an offence to have a hard spout on the beaker and I'll jus get new lids for the anyway up ones for her.

    2 loads of washing dried on the line
    1 load in TD all 3 now folded
    2 more lots in the WM
    Squeaks stuff shared between the line and the TD so that can all go away later.

    I have 6 baskets to get washed dried and folded by toorrow evening so it can all be away for the weekend.. i can see this being interesting! Please let me keep the sunshine

    2 ladybirds rescued from the road so OH didn't stand on them while bringing in the shopping.. yes I am that odd :p

    DW on
    Shopping all away

    Squeaklet fed and watered.. and stripped to her vest.. she spread food all over herself she is such a grot!.. Currently laid on her face on the floor.. I think she is licking the carpet... gross!!!!!!!!!!

    Eeek... school dash.. back soon

    not doing very well this week - and I've got a tutorial tonight in stafford - I won't be back till nearly midnight and then I'm on a long day tomorrow. I will be pretty much fit for nothing by then - however I do have a day off on friday with the kids in nursery .......... so I will be making my sisters wedding cake:T:T

    On the plus side I have finished my essay and I am happy with it - hopefully my tutor will be too (((fingers crossed)))). Just going to have a quick catch up with the thread now and then get everything ready for tomorrow to get ahead of myself, and make a fish pie for tea. Kids are happily watering themselves and the plants outside at the mo!:rotfl:
