Where is that confused smiley when you need it?

Precisely...I don't know if we are getting a holiday here in the Granite City...

I'm feeling lousey...I've been trying to do the no carb thing (feeling very fat :p) and missed depot shot (that I need) for the 2nd appt in a row cos I got the wrong time :( so now no depot till Wednesday (when the clinic is next open) and trying to break my no carbs fast today is easier said than done. Carbs are so confusing!!!

Of course I will have my normal breakfast of porridge ala micro and possibly my normal lunch of cous cous and salad but dinner - ARGH - so confusing....Maybe stick to good ole rice and lentils for a few days and make myself a choc cake in a mug as a treat :D - that'll have enough carbs right?

So yeah - should be crocheting or at least texting Ma but so not with it :(...the virus I got at the weekend has now gone to my sinuses :( so feeling rotten. No amount of orange juice is helping and I feel like a toad caught in a u-bend.

So how is everyone? Apparently this nasty strange virus (pseudo chest infection type thing) is doing the rounds so wouldn't be surprised if you have it psycho

DV normal net access will resume tomorrow - if not they'll be a strong phone call to Plusnet....Maybe I should make it today as I've just put my DD details into their website so maybe I should do it now whilst it's quiet? Even though I look and sound like a toad in a u-bend...

Anyhow thanks to whoever started the daily chat....so appreciated..

    Blessings

    E
PS. How long do DAB radios last for..think I've had mine a couple of years and it's now well and truly on the blink with poor reception etc...any ideas? It's a Pure Mini

    Morning all!

Just thought i'd join in! Not much to report really, have set myself a few challenges.

-To not drink any alcohol for the forseeable future (18 days down so far!)
-To have some money left in my account by next payday (even if its only £30, in the 5 years I have been on monthly pay this has never ever happened!)
-6 No spend days this April

I am hoping with the no drinking I can lose a few lbs also as I have been watching what I eat, excersizing 3 times a week and nothing seems to help!

Anyways, just thought i'd pop in and say hiya! :)

Hey all, new to these types of threads so be gentle!

Had a very good few days so far this month.

Have made £94 on my Man Utd bet on Saturday, Mother's Day went successfully well on Sunday (I run a restaurant/bar), I leave my current employer tomorrow after being here for 18 months for a new job starting next Monday with bigger money and I plan to buy a bike tomorrow with some Christmas vouchers I had so I can keep myself active during my time off! Also, got my cheques for my dental treatments that I got reimbursed pop through the post yesterday :)

Friday and Sunday were NSD's for me, that's the beauty of having the morning away from your partner before work at 3pm, and then working the entire eveing, just a little bit of diesel (about 50p spent!) :)
    Pugzy...aka Mike

Good morning everyone, no sign of the torrential rain that was forecast for today, but who's complaining? Been busy wrapping daughter's birthday gifts, buying lawnfeed stuff and peeling spuds for today's shepherds pie, anything in fact just to put off getting the ironing board out! I'm on a strange run of shifts at the moment, split nights so there will be times when it seems I am on a different planet to the rest of you so be warned!

Hi all, well first time posting on the daily now monthly chat.

last month i came out and told my oh about debt.. so been a great month since then as all in the open..
making overpayments , mostly due to the 1debt/100 days thread... But one of the ccd has lost the payments?? grrr.. so keep chasing and will see how long it takes to sort out... oh well...

really have so much more determination to pay off debt now that partner knows as i feel so guilty that i want to just be able to SAY " its all gone" as quick as possible!

still having treatment on neck from car accident two years ago!! so hoping the final outcome after next hospital treatment will be 1) no pain 2) enough to clear the od !!

Have a good day all, its really cold and miserable here in northampton ! x

    Hi beanie

Yes i havent been on for a while been busy with the house and the last few weeks the kids have been ill. My middle son has bad asthma and bless him we havent had a hospital run in over a year i was hoping he was out growing it but he had an attack last week brought on by a bad chest infection so back to doctors then hospital. Saw a new doctor who percribed antibioticsand didnt really bother reading his notes . I did try to explain he normally gets steriods as a prevent but got told he wasnt ill enough and basically looked at me like an know it all mum. Ofcourse the next day i was back seeing the same doctor who percribed steriods and told if he got any worse to take him straight to hospital. I got the satisfaction of saying i told you so before i left. We took him to the hospital anyway and they got his breathing under control so that was good.

Will try to drop in more often, have a nice night everyone.:)
