Hello everyone. Hope you don't mind a newbie chatter-er. I registered with the site back in 2007 but wasn't really until last year that I got into things.

Love reading the signatures, well done Lula-Hula on your debt freeness.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Finally saw The Social Network - such a cool film. I wish my friends and I had invented Facebook. We certainly spent long enough in the computer rooms at Uni (playing text MUDs usually).

Lou - good that mil is on the mend. How do you feel about your Granda going into a home? Brave of him to make that decision. My mil got taken into hospital this week - she hates it. Don't know how she could go home now though - she was really struggling to cope there.

Good afternoon everyone, Happy Mothers Day and well done Lula! Get yourself on to that Debt Free Roll of Honour if you haven't done so already! It's always nice to hear that someone has managed, through hard work and careful budgeting, to pay off their debts. It's always worthwhile, even if it takes a few years to do so, and you are a stronger person for it.
Anyway, off my soapbox now and time to dive into my Mothers Day box of Ferrero Rochers before the gannets get at them.

thanks for the good wishes, I can hardly believe it but I'm sticking with DFW for a while yet; to hang out with old friends, & make new ones too hopefully . I also need to make sure I stick to budgeting

Hope all those with offspring have had some recognition for their efforts . I've been lucky, alongside the usual humourous/rude cards & some lovely little gifts I've been playing out in the garden for most of the day so fell very content & fulfilled

Re the school hols - ours break up next friday, go back on the 26th & are then off again from the 29th to the 2nd May. Ridiculous

My update: I am temping (in my profession) currently and may have a possible perm job come up in the next month - but until it happens I have to keep looking. My DM is out of hospital and doing OK.

Well the OH decided not to go to his mums with the card he asked me to buy yesterday! He said he would save it till next year when I got annoyed :mad: Then we had a row before going out shopping. Me annoyed as he spent most of the morning sleeping till I got hungry and fancied MaccyD's but just had a pot noodle, then he woke up and decided he wanted MaccyDs and denied any knowledge of me asking him about going there for lunch. So he got MaccyDs and I got mad. Men!!!
