Here we all are on the monthly shat :rotfl:
Doubtful guest just keep it going down and try to get joy from gardening, sunbathing, reading a book or something else that is free. I am currently trying to keep my debts down and finish my course and get a job, so I shall shortly be joining you on paying off debt.
Today I shall probably go and get some help (debt) from my dad, which will be painful but necessary to get through to the end of the course. If he doesn't require a load of emotional hoops to be jumped through it may even do something to repair our not very good relationship. If he does require payback in emotional terms he won't have learnt anything from the last few years. Hopefully it will just be financial.

Lets hope he helps without the emotional strings this time Butti.
Not so warm today, have bought loads of summer flowering bulbs from the £1 shop and some bedding plants to go in pots to brighten up the front of the house.
OH is busy painting the facias and around the garage, outdoor gloss paint was £17 a tin  he had better not drip any:cool:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Well, our Easter visitors are en route for home, the dishwasher is thundering away and I am enjoying a well-earned cup of coffee after 3 days of serving up food after food after food. the two littlest guests were a delight as always but their stuff -clothes, toys etc seems to spread out and fill the entire house. Plus they left one vital thing behind - a potty. My OH attempted to ring both parents who both had their mobiles switched off so in the end jumped in his car and hurtled like a bat out of hell to the petrol station near the motorway with the said item. Fortunately he caught them just in time - would have looked a complete twonk strolling back in the house with a potty in his hand.
Weather has been glorious, but apparently it is due to turn cooler with some rain before the month's end.
Hope you all have had a splendid Easter holiday. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Been another scorcher here today. I feel absolutely exhausted as I have looked after three of my great nieces today. We took them to a local nature reserve that had an open day, where they took part in panning for gemstones, pond dipping, bush crafting and eating marshamallows round a camp fire. It was great fun and they seemed to enjoy it. The two eldest (8 and 5) independently thanked us for taking them out for the day - they are so well mannered and a pleasure to be with. The eldest one is like a little mother to the other two, yet she gives her mum a really hard time sometimes.
Don't think it will be long before I turn in for the night. I forgot what it was like to have little girls asking to use the toilet constantly, and having to keep taking them!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Not bad Lou. I've taken it as a loan rather than a gift and he only had one small dig. Now to make it last!

You too, beanie. I freely admit that, cynical old bat that I am, I will still be in front of that telly with a box of tissues. Because it's happy news, not like the doom and gloom stuff we usually get. I do hope their marriage is a long and happy one.One life - your life - live it!0
