Welcome Doubtful Guest :waves:
Don't worry, I think we all feel/have felt what you are at the moment. You have to find some kind of balance I think, so occasional treats are ok, it is just a case of moderation. Paying off the odd fiver doesn't seem to make much difference until one day you realise it has, and the debt is going down slowly but surely.
There are lots of ways to make extra money and it might be worth you looking at the Up your Income thread which might help you. I have to confess I am not a die-hard MSE'r and just pay off my debts with a chunk each month from my monthly pay, however I also make sure I keep a budget and don't go overdrawn. I used to live on my overdraft, but managed to pay it off and now keep a close eye on things - something I didn't ever do before. So little steps has helped me in a big way.
Keep going - your debt IS going down and one day it will be gone. Good luck!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Doubtful Guest - you want motivation? Here it is - you have already paid off nearly a third of your debt (30% of it). That is some achievement in itself. Take the amount of time it has taken to pay that much off, and double it to give a rough idea of when you will be debtfree. Mark that year in your diary and then find every means possible to bring your debtfree date forward using some of the hints and tips you can find on this site. One life - your life - live it!0

Another gorgeous day today! Was going to do a bit of housework this morning, but thought no, that can wait until the weather turns. I am going to enjoy the weather! Trying to get out the door to go for a drive to the beach, have dinner and an ice cream in the shade somewhere, but my daughter hasn't showered yet, so I am gently nagging her to hurry up!
Hope you have a good day....OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Afternoon all, i haven`t been here for a while either as my life just seems to be work & sleep at the minute so thought its time to catch up. I moved in with my other half at end of Jan & we signed up for a brand new house at the end of March. My other halfs house is now also sold & we`re just waiting for a moving in date. We went to Dunelm mill yesterday for a look around & ended up spending £100 as alot of the bed linen was half price & i though it was to good an offer to miss. We then went to look at sofa`s & beds for the new house as ours is all really old stuff. We ended up buying a new bed & bedside cabinets & they did us a brilliant deal, so it turned out that it was an expensive day yesterday but we have been saving so won`t be getting into any debt with things. Today we`re going to have a look round our new house as up tonow we`ve only been able to look at it from the road, i`m quite excited bout it.....AT LBM 7/1/08 (£24,018.09)- 25/09/11 (£13,032.25) - 26.04.15 - £6,429.70

Happy Easter day to everyone. Hope you are all having a relaxing day doing whatever it is that you want to do. Nothing exciting here, kids have opened their eggs so there is choccie everywhere. Just going to be a slow not doing much kind of day.
I have some pork to roast for the dinner so going to make a proper roast dinner, doesn't happen too often here and then going to unwind this evening with a glass of red, or two.0 -

Yes we are all great thanks. It's not that I work too hard its just that work is so damn hard sometimes. only 5 weeks left of the full time students though and then 3 months of bliss until it all starts again in September.
I love them really and always miss them once they go:oBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
