What a lovely day - for once the weather forecast was pretty accurate and I did the indoor things (shops, library, post office) while it was cloudy and have spent since 1130 am ish outside both gardening and walking the dog.
Garden looks a little tidier, weeded driveways and patio cracks, bought some lovely pansies in Wilko so have prettied things up with that. Got scratched to death tying up roses. And managed to plant the second lot of broad beans, rocket, spinach and radishes! Phew!
House looks like a bombs hit it but it'll have to wait til later/tomorrow.
Trout and something for dinner - possibly just salad as don't appear to be very hungry today.

Not to worry Barginbird I have some money saved for car problems. Hopefully it won't cost too much though. Unfortunately it's 11 years old now and I think this will be the last MOT I put it through. I think I might have to dip in the new car fund soon....it'll be ideal time to get something smaller and a bit more economical.
Putting towels onto wash - Done and dried out on the line
Listing some things on ebay - Done - 23 items all listed
Sorting through the rest of my clothes for things to go to cs or bin - 1 bag dropped off at the charity bin
Reading - currently on 'Any Fool can be a Middle Aged Downshifter' - Not managed to fit this in yet
And of course surfing the net - Far too much
C xAs my dad always used to say 'Just because you've got the money doesn't mean to say you have to spend it all at once'0 -
Bitsy Beans - I am fairly local to Twycross, and I am just thinking about putting some washing out as the rain seems to have cleared off a bit. We used to go regularly with an annual membership but the prices shot up recently.
Today is my DS1's 8th birthday - and he has requested a shop cake as a treat! Humph. He also wants to make dried apple rings so I have promised to do that today, and will probably put some meringues in whilst the oven is on so I can use up some of the egg mountain. I have to clean, and I want to play in the garden.
Lucky you, it's nice over you way
We had a nice day. DS would have preferred to whizz round the zoo in 10 mins, he's not one to linger <rollseyes> so had a bit of moaning from him. Was lucky as the sun came out in afternoon so it was a nice day.
Happy birthday to your DS, look at this way you don't have to worry about baking a cake
Flutterby - Hugs to you honey xx
NPM - Enjoy the blue cake
Pics please
Have a lovely saturday evening everyone.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

No time today at all, just wanted to wish Butterfly Brain a very very Happy Birthday. :bdaycake: big kiss for you.xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Happy birthday Butterfly Brain....hope its been a nice day.
NPM....hope that the melatonin helps.
Carolyntina....sorry to hear about car....mine is 9 years old and I have been hoping to get at least another 3 years out of it, as new car savings are not too healthy.
OH cooked dinner to-day....a mountain of assorted roast veg and the chicken left over from yesterday...was lovely to sit and knit and wait for dinner to be handed up!
have the 2 dogs for the weekend as DD3 and BF are away on yet another farewell 'do'....he had a birthday during the week as well so killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Nice enough day here early on but have had torrential rain, thunder and lightning this evening....think it might be gone now.
Hugs to all in need or want, going to let dogs out for a little run before bed....think I have missed the end of the Munster/Leinster rugby match, hopefully Leinster managed to hold on to the good lead they had at half time.
Sleep well and hope that all mothers enjoy their day to-morrow
