Sticking to the 'care & maintenance plan'.

    So far ;).

Up early & out the door again by 8.15. DD spotted friends en route to school so leapt out of the car to join them & I carried on to work. Arrived 20 minutes early & wondered if I'd dreamt the previous days gridlock.

Came home full of bounce & with no home-job work to do I proceeded to have a quick cup of tea & then did the hoovering throughout :D. It was great because I could do DDs room too - rather than open the door & feel rage & depression in equal measures - so tha'ts an entire chore completed :j. Once all the washing up was done, I polished the sink too :rotfl:.

After a long break from topping them up, I've sorted out the cash funds in to the following categories : Pocket Money, Presents, Child Care & Trips n Treats. I've decided not to keep a weekly fund for DDs clubs any more,as at the moment she does guides which is just £25 a term & if she does want to take up the horse riding ( deferred definitely until CC cleared & possibly til after christmas too) then I'll pay for a few lessons up front as it works out cheaper. All after school clubs & activities at High School are free :T.

I've been obsessively saving shiny crips notes for my pocket money fund - less likely to spend them - & reclaimed the £50 from the presents fund, so now have £90 in it.

I have £20 in the presents fund, £15 in the childcare fund & a sad £10 in the Trips n Treats fund. Once the CC is quashed then I'll be starting up savings funds for all sorts of other things such as the 'Escape From Reality Fund', the very boring but necessary '3 Months Emergency Income' Fund, the 'Doing Up The Home Fund' & the Saving For a New Car - because this one won't last forever & I reckon Dad will expect me to buy my own now I'm a big girl' fund :rotfl:.

For now though, I've organised to have all future CB payments go in with the Quidco drip fund & this will form the basis of our Holiday Fund for next year.

I've been so busy planning all this, polishing my sink & sploshing about in the bath that I've managed to have another NSD :D.

I still have £11.10p left in my purse but will be going to sainsbugs tomorrow after dropping DD at school. I'll be withdrawing my £40 / £50 weekly allowance in cash on a Friday from now on. Weekends are no longer for grocery shopping or chores in this home.

No exercise today, no excuses either; I'm simply a lazy cow :p

Also a very tired one so looking forward to lights out now,

    G'night
    xx

Excellent! Your weekend can be your own! And how lovely is it that DD leapt out of the car to be with her friends :)

I'm impressed. (And jealous.) You sound very in control, which is just wonderful. Have a restful but fun weekend.

Thanks guys, don't be jealous Wordsmith ... it will all come crashing down again at some point, I'm just enjoying my mojo while it's working :j.

I think the multi vitamin fizz have a lot to do with renewed energy although it does have the alarming side effect of producing luminous yellow wee

Enough of my renal system, today has been a bit zippy so far & I'm on a short coffee break.

I stripped the beds first thing & put a load of laundry in before we left. I dropped DD off at usual time & carried on to work town to head to the sainsbugs there. Far too many offers on things I use a lot of ie pasta sauce ( yes, I know I could make it, but I aint gonna, so there :p) so I stocked up & also had to get a few other household items so the total came to £44.07 - lucky I had money left over from last week eh ;) of which £33.55p was groceries.

There was a bit of a scuffle in the sweet section while I valiantly tried to block the selection pack of mini Green & Black from entering my trolley ... but there were 12 of them & just 1 of me so eventually they won :D. They were only £3.60 as opposed to the usual £5 something & the idea was that they'd be handy as an emergency gift, so I have stashed them under my bed. For now ...

Had a quick wander up & down the high street & discovered independent electrical shop who said they did do stereo repairs but ... as it's the cd player, then it involves lasers & the SP would be £50. I don't want to buy a whole new system as mine is small & yet powerful & aesthetically harmonious. Will ponder some more.

Stopped off at garden centre on the way home & bought 2 x new terracotta pots & some mini stones to put in the top - for drainage & frost protection according to resident horticultural whizz Pippi :T. I was going to [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] borrow some from neighbours drive, but thought better of it. Pots were just £8 for the pair & the stones were £2. Put back seats down & left car out the front so have NO EXCUSES for not taking rubbish to tip.

Determined to get all chores done today as I have an appointment with 22 hunky men first thing in the morning, followed by tea with rellies in the afternoon. Hope to do something a bit cultural on sunday.

Must get rubbish to tip before I lose momentum.

    Bye for now

I buy the tablet version of the vitamin fizzy stuff.......much easier to take, and without the "colourful" side effects :D

Woo hoo! You're going to get all your jobs done today, I can tell :j:j tho :rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek::rotfl: to the change in wee colour!

Slightly concerned that even at your new fitness level, G&B selection pack was able to strongarm you :D:cool::D:cool::D:cool: you may need arm-toning exercises too .... possibly *several* glasses of vino will do the trick :)

Very glad to hear the rubbish has gone too :)

Thanks Hypno for advice on less psychedelic types of vitamins :T
Karma - definitely have puny arms & will endeavour to build them up with some heavy duty glass lifting :D

Rosa - I see your light is on, put down the crisps & step away from the goggle box :naughty:

Another brief update - there is a belgian bun & cup of tea with my name on them just waiting for DD to get home ( followed by a G&T & pack of mini cheddars just waiting for her to go to GG tonight ;)).

Rubbish taken to tip - nasty place to be avoided at all costs. Man shouted "timber" at me & I looked around in a panic, expecting large tree to heading my way . But no, turns out he meant that the old pc table that I was about to hurl into the landfill skip, was meant to go in with the timber. I explained that it was cheap & nasty & therefore constructed from mdf, formica veneer, plastic castors & metal pegs & screws & was in no mood to be disassembling it right then & there :p.

He puffed out his belly, glared & pointed a stubby finger towards the other end of the tip & insisted "timber". Clearly, he was either linguistically challenged or just damn conversatinonally lazy so I just loaded it all back in the car, drove to the next section & dumped it in the timber skip.

Stopped off at the co op on the way to buy some nice cheap happy eggs & a bag of mixed fruit ( granny likes rock cakes & so does the man with a soon to be redundant i-phone ;)) & came out having blown £5.05p on just those 2 items .

I now have about 85p left for the week.

Anyway, washloads 2 & 3 on the line - and number 1 in the airing cupboard. Hair re-coloured & bathroom cleaned. Floors in bathroom, kitchen & hall & stairs all washed & scrubbed. I just need to put clean sheets on the beds & then I think I'm done for today.

Tomorrow I'll do the last wash load & the ironing & then I'll be all chored out & can start afresh on monday.

I've decided that a Sunday will be a NO grocery shopping, NO cleaning, NO chores, NO work & NO nasty tasks day. Batch baking & cooking & gardening type things are really not chores so they will be permitted.

Sadly, not all good things today; I seem to have lost a tenner :( & dropped my fab new M&S sunglasses in the road when getting out fo the car. I didn't realise until I got back from the tip & dicovered them. Lenses are fine, but one arm is all broekn so I assume they got run over. I'm really annoyed as they were my favourites. Will teach me to walk about with an overflowing & open bag.

So, off to make beds & will return later to do finance & siggy updates
    xx

Well Davina didn't get a look-in tonight; I've been far too busy downing G&T & feeling slightly dazed at having achieved all I needed to in just a few hours :D.

After re making the beds I then gathered in washloads 2 & 3 & with DD firmly ensconced in homework I actually ironed everything as well.

I need to calm down now, or I'll be expecting to be a superwoman of domesticity all the time. Seems multivits are the way forward.

Went to close the curtains in DDs room & discovered the cat curled up on her bed, I'm taking the basket back to the shop & must also drop off charity shop stuff too.

At some point next week I need to drop in to her old school, to return the 3 books I found on her bookshelf :o.

Really looking forward to a lie in tomorrow morning, coffee, tv, mags & a bit of catching up on diaries too.

    G'night
    xx
