You sound very serene. I like serene. Serene is good.

    Ladies,

good evening & thank you for lovely posts :A.

Makeup - always a pleasure to hear from you, your absence had been noted but I know you're a busy woman so will let you off. Great news on getting the funding & glad to hear that your secondment has been extended. I can understand your being a bit nervous about reducing the time you have at work & doing lots of unpaid overtime is not ideal. Dont' get burnt out, you're too young. Hope the wedding weekend is fab ... interesting about the hat vs fascinators, I was recently reading about a day course in making one, run by a lady whos name I've forgotten ... something to do with gingerbread hats though.

Taxi - I appreciate the title ... however I believe that a true domestic goddess would never have to dust the knobs on her cooker due to lack of use :o.

Karma - it feels all wintery outside & it's dark so once I've had a bath I may as well get into bed & be comfy while I read or type . It also stops me from eating or drinking :)

Wordsmith - serene eh  not sure whether it's that or being back in control of my flailing emotions & having the reassuringly predictable routine of school again.

It's been a mixed day today; work was busy which is good, although there is still a giant threat hanging over the entire company. I don't think it would be appropriate or wise to share details of what this threat is, I shall just say that it involves a major client & money.

If the worst outcome does happen, I will gladly share all the details of this despicable practice because I am outraged that this sort of thing goes on in business. I've already told Gropey that I will make sure it goes public but he is not aware of just how public I can be ;)

Some sad news as well;I think I mentioned that Highly Annoying & Design Dude apparently had 'words' last friday. Goblin told me this morning that Design Dude was probably leaving, but he never mentioned a thing throughout the day until I was leaving & then told me that he's just had enough & needs to get away. I know that lots of the guys think he's a bit precious, but I always got on really well with him, liked him & we worked well together so I am sad to see him go & relayed this to him as well as reminding him that I've always seen him as a port of sanity in the sea of madness that is our work. He smile wryly & wished me good luck :rotfl:

I hope that he gets his head together & then comes back even if only part time.

I got home to discover that I'd left my phone at work :doh:so when DD got in, we went to pick it up. she was happy as she finally got to meet Grumpy s dog who immediately decide she was a new playmate & presented her with his soggy ball. I think that may well have cured her desire for a dog ;).

Got my home-job work all done, completed surveys & claimed another £5 amazon voucher :D.

Weather was very windy but also bright & sunny so we decided to go for a bike ride along the canal. It was only for 30 minutes but my thighs hurt so I'm claiming that as my exercise for the day.

NSD number 6 achieved & rustled up a spag bol for dinner involving the last of the spaghetti, the remaining half of a jar of sauce & half a bag of quorn mince that I knew was hiding somewhere in the freezer ... finally discovered hidden under the frozen veg & behind the all important ice cube trays :).

Dessert was some fat free mango & apple yoghurt with a use by date of 31.08.2011 but as DD didn't see that, it doesn't matter :D.

Really should check my online banking now, so I'm away for now,

    G'night
    xx

You did well for your indoor foraging :j very impressive, and for the exercise too - have you seen the new amendments to the recommendations? 15 minutes a day is better than nothing :D so you've done very well to get 30 :j Just looking outside to check how it is right now, its *beeyootiful*! Just one little cloud in the far distance, and a lovely blue sky over the rest of it :)

Your "extras" work sounds good, but main work not :( Hope its okay today

Sorry to be rude & not stop to chat or wander through diaries but I'm cream crackered.

Was at work by 8.30 this morning - dammit no traffic so I was early .

Busy day but managed to remember to bring my phone home :j. Came home to enormous volumes of home-job & stopped for just half an hour to eat & finally finished at 9 tonight.

Needed to unwind & get some fresh air so, having convinced DD that I wouldn't get eaten by hobos but to call me if I wasn't back in half an hour & if I didnt' answer, then to call the police - I went off for a quick 15 minute walk around the block. Lovely clear night & it felt really good to unwind that way.

Jumped in the bath when I got in & soaked with book for a while.

NSD number 7 achieved but tomorrow will be a spend day as we have dental check ups :(.

Big meeting for bosses tomorrow & Goblin away for long week end so I may / may not offer to work on the friday. Yes, it means I'll be behind with chores & laundry, but it's money & if the meeting goes badly, it may be my last chance to earn some overtime ...

    Will see what happens.

Too tired to do surveys, so will catch up with those tomorrow.

    G'night
